"Calum where the hell are you?" Veronica yells into the phone.
"Chill I'm running a little late, I had to help my mom take breakfast to my grandparents."
"How do you expect us to win cutest couple if you are never with me?"
"Veronica you are over reacting. We are almost always together."
"Oh really Calum? What about after school like everyday, or when you are out with the team?"
"Veronica that's football practice, and yes I can't be with you at every waking moment."
"The bell rings in two minutes, if you aren't here then don't bother."
"I'll be there." I roll my eyes as she hangs up.
Pulling up to school I see Veronica with her 'fashion mob' as I call them. As I get out I see the boys, and I contemplate to walk up and talk to them. But I know Veronica will have a fit. So her first and I'll catch up with the boys later. As I get close Veronica runs over.
"Calum Baby!!!" she squeals.
"You owe me for this, so guess who is taking me shopping after practice." she whispers in my ear as we hug.
She pulls away and smiles at everyone. I just roll my eyes and flash a small smile. That's when I see her, the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. She has shoulder length straight, blonde hair, blue eyes, skinny legs in her black skinny jeans with holes in them, and some band tee shirt I've never heard of, white gauges in her ears and headphones in. I've never seen her before, she must be new. That's when the bell rings and pulls me out of my thoughts. I start down the hallway with Veronica on my arm, talking about something pointless.
"Walk me to class." Veronica says.
"Don't I always?" I say as I send her a small grin.
She smiles at me, kisses me on the cheek, and cuddles back into my arm. Veronica is stunning, absolutely beautiful. I know she is a handful, but me and her have a history. I don't know if I could leave her after everything we have been through. People see her as a bitch but she is just strong and independent. Okay maybe she is a bitch, but small moments like this remind me why I'm with her.
"Thank god you wore black, I thought you would forget. You are so unreliable." She rolls her eyes and lets go of my arm.
And the moment ends and she is back to being her. She walks around to face me, kisses me on the cheek and runs into her classroom. I turn back and head to my first class, Algebra 2. I absolutely hated math, I wasn't bad at it I just didn't like it. I grab my phone from my pocket and text Luke. As I look up and put my IPhone into my pocket. There she is just roaming the hall, holding a paper in her hand. here is my chance to talk to her, I'd never be able to when Veronica is around.
"Hey." I say shyly
she looks up, "Um hey."
"you lost?"
"very" She smiles and I swear my heart stopped. she had straight white teeth. She had a small gap and I found it so cute. I don't know who this girl was but she was something else.
she pulled me out of my thoughts when she waved her hand in my face, "Hello? you there?."
"Yeah, yeah. my bad I was just thinking. so where is your first class?"
she handed me her schedule. "Okay you have art, that's in another building. Here I'll show you around." I say with a smile.
"Oh my gosh, thank you. This school is so big compared to my old one. I'd probably be lost all day if it wasn't for you."
