"Katsuki put on some sunscreen!" Mitsuki yelled at her son. He rolled his eyes, grumbling.

"Fine! You old cow..." he stomped through the sand to get to her. Masaru sighed, staring at his wife and kid.

"Sorry about that." The brunette turned to the pink haired girl beside him. She shook her head.

"It's fine!" Hiroko said. He nodded and saw Katsuki roughly putting sunscreen on his arms. Hiroko sighed. She thought back to this morning when this all started.

                                        ......

"Yo, pigtails." The ashe blonde approached the pink haired girl. She rolled her eyes. She doesn't wear pigtails that much but he calls her it anyway.

"Hello to you too, Katsuki ." She replied, annoyed by the sudden lack of peace and quiet. He took a seat next to her on the playground equipment.

"My parents are taking me to the beach today. If you aren't doing anything, do you want to come along?" He asked. She stared at him, her face full of disbelief. He wanted to go somewhere with her?

"Oh um... s-sure!" She said nervously. Her mind raced with weather reports and shark attacks. Her mind flashed to her bathing suits, trying to pick out one in her head.

"Okay, come to my house at eleven." He said, getting up.

"Okay!" She got up as well. They went their separate ways until they had to meet up again.

......

Hiroko arrived at the Bakugo residence at 10:55 am. They were already loading into the car as the blue eyed girl walked up the driveway.

"Hiroko!" Mitsuki hugged the girl tightly. The teen giggled and hugged her back. The two had actually gotten quite close and enjoyed being around each other in all of Hiroko's visits to the house.

"Hello Mitsuki!" She pulled away from the warm embrace.

"Glad you could make it." Masaru patted her head.

"Thank you sir." She bowed her head. Katsuki rolled his eyes walking over to them. He snatched the bag from her hands and threw it in the car.

"We're wasting time. Let's go." He grabbed, opening the door for Hiroko.

"Be nice!" Mitsuki scolded her son. He glared at her and she returned it. Masaru shook his head and got in the car. Everyone else did the same.

The car ride to the beach felt like an eternity. Masaru and Mitsuki flirted and Bakugo argued with his mother. To others, it was a noisy car ride but to Hiroko, it was everything she's ever wanted. This was a family and she wanted to be apart of it. Even if she didn't look like them, she wanted to be their family.

......

"Do you want to build a sandcastle with me?" Hiroko asked the ashe blonde boy next to her.

"What are you, five?" He mocked her. She frowned.

"Fine, don't build it with me!" She huffed, scooping up sand into her bucket.

"I never said I didn't want to build it with you." He snatched the bucket from her and put some water in it. The two spent fifteen minutes building the perfect sandcastle, decorating it with shells and seaweed.

"We did it!" She exclaimed, jumping up and down from excitement. Katsuki snorted at her behavior. Suddenly, a kid ran over and stomped on the sandcastle, knocking it down.

"Hahaha!" The kid laughed. Katsuki shook with rage. He was about to say something when Hiroko stopped him, remembering a book she read about gentle parenting.

"Now, that isn't very nice. You should apologize." She said.

"I'll never apologize, you ugly witch!" The kid shouted, kicking her shin. Katsuki's eyes widened. Hiroko's eye twitched, leaning in to whisper in the kid's ear.

"Now, get lost." She said. The kid ran away crying. Hiroko sighed, running her fingers through her hair.

"What the hell did you say to him?" The ashe blonde asked.

"Oh. Nothing..."
