Synopsis: Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls even taller than the biggest of titans.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a titan in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witnesses something horrific as the city walls are destroyes by a colossal titan that appears out of thin air. As the smaller titans flood the city, the two of them watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single titan and take revenge for all of mankind.

Personal opinion: Aaah I developed this MAJOR crush on Captain Levi. This anime isn't my usual cup of tea cus of the graphic scenes, but the plot line makes it worth it. Se02 coming out this year October woohoo!

Anyways I am not sure if the titans look so real that they look fake or that they look so fake that they look real. I gotta say I was disappointed. I don't have a problem with japanese film producers casting japanese actors in a film based off japanese media, but I do have a problem with

1. casting actors that look nothing like their characters (cough cough Armin)

2. casting actors that are asian when the character names are so blatantly european (like really Jaeger?, it literally means hunter in german)

and 3. casting all the actors as asian when there is a specific plot point of asians being rare, and the ackerman family i.e. Mikasa being sought after for being exotic.

Rubbish mayn, absolute rubbish -,- *sigh*
