Synopsis:
In the city of Ergastulum, a shady ville filled with made men and petty thieves, whores on the make and cops on the take, there are some deeds too dirty for even its jaded inhabitants to touch. Follow the "Handymen," Nic and Worick, who take care of the jobs no one else will handle.
A new group attempts to muscle in on their block and the cops enlist them to weed out the upstarts no questions asked. The only thing is, there's a witness to the slaughter that they absolutely refuse to silence, so they decide to take her in instead.
Personal opinion: Ok so lemme get this straight... I LOVE NICHOLAS'S VOICE WHEN HE TALKS AND I KNOW HE RARELY TALKS BUT WHEN HE DOES OMG I HAVE THIS STRANGE OBSESSION WITH IT. That's all I can think about atm xD
^Uh that part was Hana -_- Personal opinion 2(Because #Nash'sOpinionsMatter): Ok so anyways, I decided to add my part in this anime specifically because it was one of my favourites. Gangsta is the type of show that sounds catchy as it gets. As the name implies, there are gangsters which means there's crime. However, there are people who takes care of business these problems in the city of Ergastulum. Enter Nick and Worick, a pair of badass bishounen who takes cares of crime like another day in the park. As ordinary as the show sounds, it gets more complicated once they are assigned to a task that goes beyond their expectations.
It's a pretty much a badass show ran with its premise and knows what its intentions are. The cast of characters has an enthralling presence and throughout the story, we learn a great deal about the main protagonists. Sure, the show can seem a bit cruel at times but it's important to realize its purpose. Gangsta is not a show with colorful rainbows and where happy endings happen. In fact, I would say that the ending of the show is a bit controversial in itself. Regardless though, it's still a show that I'd recommend anyone to give it a try especially for fans interested in a mature action flick.
It's really hard to ignore the soundtrack. There's no easy way to describe it but there's a combination of upbeat, chilling, and jazz. It almost gives off a feeling of relaxation even during the most intense of scenes. I enjoyed every single thing this anime has offered.
