Lalisa Pranpriya Manoban POV"Uh, h-hey guys! What's up?" I scratched the back of my head awkwardly as I greeted them. Geez, this is so embarrassing!
They immediately bowed slightly. "Hello, Ms. Lisa!" they greeted in unison.
I returned their greetings and shook hands with some of them. They welcomed me warmly, even though I butted in.
"Lis! Long time no see, how are you?" Bambam, the photographer asked.
I gave him a bro hug and patted his shoulder. "I'm good, bro. How about you?" I replied.
He smiled. "I’m happy, man. Thanks to your advice, I’m now a happily married man with two kids. Good thing I listened to you, or Somi might’ve ended up with someone else."
I smiled back. "Happy to help, bro. I’m glad you’re happy. Just don’t cheat on your wife, or I swear, I’ll knock you out," I warned, half-joking.
He laughed. "You’re unbelievable! Of course, I wouldn’t. I love my wife, and I wouldn’t want to break the trust she’s given me."
"Good. I wouldn’t want you to make Somi cry. She’s my friend too. Don’t forget that."
The three of us had been friends since college. We met in a general education class, despite majoring in different courses.
Since my course didn’t have block sections, we were often placed with other majors. By chance, I ended up in the MMA (Multimedia Arts) section, where I sat next to Somi.
Somi and I became instant friends because of our shared interests and love for the same food. Bambam only became part of our group when we were assigned to work together on a final project for three people.
Since then, we became inseparable. During our college days, Bambam confessed to me that he liked Somi, but unfortunately, she liked someone else at the time.
I encouraged him to confess his feelings, telling him that you never know what might happen. He hesitated at first but eventually confessed, and boom—they became a couple. The rest is history.
The last I heard, they already had a baby. I attended their wedding and the birthdays of my godchildren. I made sure to be there for all their special events, but lately, we hadn’t talked much because of our busy schedules.
Bambam also knows Jisso since we often worked on projects together back then.
"So, what brings you here?" Bambam asked.
"Uhh, I’m here for my wi—"
"The Wi-Fi!" Jen interrupted. Wi-Fi? What is she talking about?
"Okay? Why do you need Wi-Fi, bro? Oh, and by the way, Jen , how do you know lis—I mean, lalisa?" Bambam asked curiously.
"She’s my friend bam. She’s here to grab her phone with data. I left mine at home, so she kindly lent me hers," Jen explained with a sheepish smile.
What the heck?
"I didn’t know you were this much of a gentlewoman, bro. How’d your phone end up with her anyway?" Bam teased with a grin.
I shook my head. "Well, the truth is—"
"We met earlier downstairs, so I borrowed her phone. Right, lisa?" she interrupted, her tone laced with warning.
I frowned. First, she’s making up stories. Second, she just claimed me as her friend. This doesn’t seem right.
I sighed. "Actually—"
"Bam, we’ll just talk for a moment," she interrupted again and dragged me to her dressing room.
"Why are you here, lisa?" she demanded after locking the door.
I shoved my hands into my pockets and shrugged. "What do you think I’m doing here?"
"Leave. Why did you just show up like that? Don’t you realize how risky that is?"
I frowned. "Risky? Why?"
She rubbed her temples. "My career! The rumors about me dating haven’t even died down yet, and now there are even more pictures of us always together."
"What’s wrong with that? You’re my girlfriend. We can go anywhere we want."
She stomped her foot. "No! I can’t risk my career. We’ve been seen together too much already. We can’t keep going places together—people will see us and start speculating."
I clenched my jaw. "Are you saying I can’t tell the world you’re my girlfriend?"
She let out an angry sigh. "Yes! I don’t want to lose my career, Lisa."
"Why? I can support you. I earn enough for both of us and for our future kids."
"You don’t understand, lisa. I’m not ready. I’m not ready to announce to the public that I’m dating you, a woman. I still want to grow as an actress, as an artist, as a woman. There’s still so much I want to do," she said softly.
I clenched my jaw tightly. She can do all that even if she’s dating me, right? So why doesn’t she want to reveal our relationship? Is it because she's dating a woman?
She’s free to do anything. I’m not stopping her. All I want is for us not to hide that we’re dating.
"Is that really the reason? Or is it because I’m weird? Is it because I’m abnormal?" I asked, staring directly into her eyes.
Her eyes widened slightly as she cupped my face. "No! Like I said, I accept you, Lisa. It’s just…" She took a deep breath.
"I’m not ready for to share the world that I'm dating a woman. I-I still want to explore. I want more activities, projects, and so on. A-And you know those things will disappear if people find out I’m dating a girl," she whispered.
"Then why did you have a kissing scene for your damn photoshoot? Why is it okay for people to see you dating that GD guy? Why is that okay for you, huh?" I asked angrily.
Is it really necessary to have a kissing scene in a photoshoot? No, right?
She wrapped her arms around my neck and caressed my face. "Lisa, don’t be mad. It’s just a photoshoot , we didn't kiss. And also I don't have plan dating him. It's all PR stunt, you know were endorsing a bulgari jewelry together. We need publicity. You know this—you’re a CEO."
"No, Jen. Your partner isn’t even popular because of Ulopong's bad pose. So there’s no need for the world to see your so-called sweetness. Admit it—you just want—"
I didn’t get to finish because she cut me off with a kiss. I didn’t respond immediately, caught off guard.
"Kiss me back, Lisa," she said between kisses.
I grabbed her waist and pulled her closer. I kissed her back passionately.
"Walk backward," she ordered.
I slowly stepped back as we continued kissing. She stopped the kiss, then pushed me onto the couch. She climbed onto my lap and wrapped her arms around me.
"I like it when you’re jealous. You make me wet. Don’t be jealous, Daddy. I’ll let you take me," she said seductively, licking my ear.
My eyes darkened. I licked my lips and smirked. It’s sexy time.
"Kneel, Jen. Sing for Daddy."
I change Lisa company to "Pranpriya corporation"
