Jennie Ruby Jane Kim POV
I bit my lip as Lisa walked out. Gosh! I’m so reckless—we’re so reckless. There’s something about Lisa that pulls me closer, a certain allure I can’t resist.
Jealous lisa is hotter than regular Lisa.
Good thing we moved fast; we almost got caught. It’s her fault anyway—she seduced me.
“All done, Miss,” my makeup artist said.
I thanked her and confidently stepped out of my dressing room like I hadn’t done anything mischievous earlier.
I spotted Lisa sitting by the corner. Her eyes roamed over my body, looking at me like I was her prey. That only made me walk with more confidence, giving my best catwalk, knowing my baby was watching me.
Baby… I like the sound of that.
The photoshoot ended with Lisa's eyes glued to me. I could feel her intense gaze as she watched me pose.
Occasionally, I’d glance her way. And whenever our eyes met, I’d give her a playful wink.
“Good job, guys! It’s a wrap!” Photographer Bam announced.
I quickly changed into my regular clothes. I couldn’t wait to have my baby all to myself again—I still felt unsatisfied with what we did earlier.
So flirty, Jen! My brain scolded me.
I rolled my eyes at myself and stepped out of the dressing room. There she was, standing on the side, hands in her pockets, looking effortlessly hot.
I was about to approach her when someone blocked my way.
“Hello, Ms. Jen! I’m Zoren a reporter from ETN. I was hoping to interview you today,” he introduced himself, extending a hand.
I secretly rolled my eyes. How did this reporter even get in here? I just wanted to go home and cuddle with my baby, my big baby.
I shook his hand and gave him a fake smile. The sooner this ended, the better. I was exhausted from work—and, well, other things.
“Hi, Zoren! Sure, what’s the interview about?” I asked.
He smiled and pulled out a notebook. “Just a few questions, Miss. Are you ready?”
“Are you ready?” he asked as if it were a Miss Universe pageant.
I nodded and smiled, knowing the camera was focused on my beautiful face.
“Okay, first question. There are rumors that your success is more about connections than talent. What can you say about that?”
My eyebrow raised at his question. I knew there were rumors about me—claims that I owed my success to my dad’s influence.
Yes, my parents are well-known and admired in the business industry for their skills and success.
But never once did I ask for their help to achieve what I have today. My fame, money, and success are the results of my hard work and talent.
Sure, my beauty and voice are bonuses, but everything else I achieved through training and perseverance.
I cleared my throat. “People are free to make their assumptions. My accomplishments are the product of my dedication. Talent can be learned, and that’s exactly what I did. I worked hard to excel in singing, dancing, and now in modeling. I’ve built my reputation independently without relying on my parents’ connections.” I smiled confidently.
He nodded thoughtfully. “Next question: What can you say about GD, Is it hard working with him? How’s Kim Ji-yong as a co-model?”
I cringed internally at the mention of his name. “He’s good; it’s fun working with him. Of course, there’s always room for improvement.” I smiled politely, masking my disinterest.
I didn’t want to ruin his image, after all. Even though I don't like him.
“Last question. This has been a hot topic among your fans: Is it true that you’re married? And to a girl CEO?” he asked with a mischievous grin.
They know that it's Pranpriya's corporation but they don't know who's the CEO. As far as I know Lisa known as lalisa Manoban not Lalisa Pranpriya.
My nerves spiked. I knew this question had been circulating for a while, but no one knew the full details.
I quickly composed myself and met his gaze. I needed to be cautious with this reporter—he seemed to know too much.
“Ah, no—”
“That’s enough,” a cold voice interrupted.
Both of us turned to see who it was. It was my baby, Lisa!
“You’re a reporter from ETN, correct?” lisa asked.
Zoren nodded, still smirking, clearly trying to prove something.
“I think your questions are getting too personal. Is this how your company operates—spreading gossip?” Lisa said, hands still in her pockets but with a sharp glare.
“No, Ms. Manoban. It’s just that these questions are trending, and netizens want to know. I’m just doing my—”
“Even so. And who gave you permission to come here and randomly interview Ms. Kim? Aren’t interviews supposed to be during events? I’ve been watching you, and you just barged in uninvited. This is a photoshoot set, not a press junket,” Lisa cut him off.
“You’re invading Ms. Kim’s privacy and work. Do you do this with other artists just to create buzz for netizens?” Lisa added.
“If you don’t want to lose your job, I suggest you leave now before I contact your company,” lisa said coldly.
The reporter quickly left.
I couldn’t help but bite my lip. She’s so hot, and she just saved me from unnecessary trouble.
I looked around to make sure we were alone. When I was certain, I wrapped my arms around her neck.
“So hot, love. Thank you for saving my butt,” I said, giving her a quick kiss.
She kissed my forehead. “Anything for you, baby.”
I pulled back and playfully smacked her shoulder. “You! You keep calling me all these names. Last time it was cara mia, amour, baby, love, and babe. Do you want to add honeybunch sugarplum to the list?” I teased, annoyed but amused.
She laughed and kissed me. “No matter what I call you, Jen—whether it’s baby, amour, or anything else—it all pales in comparison to calling you Mrs. Manoban.”
“I love you, Jennie Ruby Jane Kim-Manoban. My Mrs.Manoban.”
Ugh! My heart is swooning.
