I was puzzled as I reached the parking lot and couldn’t find my car. I swear I parked it here. I even have the key in my hand. Where did it go?

"Jen," she called out to me, but I ignored her, scanning the area for my missing car.

"Where the heck is my car?" I said aloud in frustration.

"Oh, I had it sent home," she answered casually.

I immediately turned to her. "What?! When, why, and how?"

She grinned at me. "Easy there, Tiger. One question at a time."

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. "Just answer me, you dimwit!" Her smug expression was infuriating.

Her grin widened, becoming even more teasing. "Well, as I told you earlier, we have somewhere to go. So, I asked my people to take care of your car. Don’t worry, it got home safe, no scratches. And if by any chance it gets damaged, I’ll pay for it."

"Where exactly are we going? Is it really that important? I have things to do. Can’t we just cancel this?"

The cheerful look on her face disappeared instantly. Did I say something wrong?

She cleared her throat. "We can’t. It’s our monthsary."

"What?" I asked again, unsure if I heard her right.

"It’s our monthsary. I’ve already made reservations. It would be rude to cancel, and besides, it would be a waste of money. So, come on."

Before I could protest further, she got into her car without even waiting for me. Tch! Not a gentlewoman at all!

The drive was quiet. I stared out the window, observing unfamiliar surroundings. It was clear we were headed to another city.

"Where are we going, anyway?" I asked again. She didn’t answer, staying focused on driving, her face serious and lost in thought.

A few hours later, she finally stopped the car and got out first—again without waiting for me.

I stepped out and took in my surroundings. It looked like a private resort. What could she be thinking, bringing me here? Still, I wasn’t complaining. I’d been longing for a beach getaway but never had the time.

I walked toward the entrance, marveling at the resort’s beauty. The modern design blended seamlessly with the natural environment, creating a luxurious yet homey vibe. I spotted an infinity pool that seemed to merge with the ocean on the horizon—a perfect spot for watching sunsets or sunrises.

"Welcome to Pranpriya Hotel, Ma’am!" a staff member greeted me.

I nodded politely and scanned the area for Lisa. Where had that woman gone?

"Are you looking for Ma’am Manoban? Please follow me," the staff member offered.

Curious, I followed. We arrived at a lounge where I spotted Lisa chatting with a woman, a wine glass in her hand.

I rolled my eyes. Did she bring me here just to show off her flirting skills?

Annoyed, I sat on a nearby couch and pulled out my phone. It had been a while since I last posted anything, and I figured my fans must miss me.

I was busy taking selfies when a guy interrupted. "Excuse me, Miss? Are you lost?"

I frowned. "Do I look lost to you?"

He smiled sheepishly and licked his lower lip. "I just thought you might need company. A pretty girl like you should never be alone. If you were mine, I’d never leave you on your own."

I rolled my eyes, unimpressed. I was about to respond when someone suddenly grabbed my waist and pulled me close.

"My girlfriend isn’t alone. I’m with her," Lisa said coldly.

The guy’s eyes widened in shock, and he immediately bowed. "I’m so sorry, Ms. Manoban. I didn’t know she was your girl. I apologize. I won’t bother you again."

He hurriedly walked away. Tch! So scared of my "girlfriend." Wait—what?

As soon as he was gone, I pinched Lisa’s side.

"Ouch! What was that for?" she asked, rubbing the spot where I pinched her.

"You think I forgot about you talking to that woman earlier? Where is she, and why—"

Before I could finish, she gently grabbed my face and silenced me with a kiss.

"Relax, hon. Don’t be jealous. She was just arranging our room," she chuckled.

Annoyed, I hit her chest. "You’re getting on my nerves!"

She just laughed and stepped back, a smug smile on her face. "Let’s go, hon. Let’s check out our room."

Before I could protest, she grabbed my hand and dragged me along. I tried to pull my hand away, but she wouldn’t let go.

"Don’t worry, hon. I own this hotel. No one here will leak anything that happens because they know what I’m capable of. And I’ve made sure your secret is safe. You’re safe here. I won’t let anything bad happen to you."

She stopped, turned to face me, and held both my hands.

"I promise you’re safe with me. I’ll never let you down, Jen. Trust me." She kissed the back of my hands and then my forehead.

"Trust your girlfriend, Jen. Open your heart to me. I won’t let you down."
