The Call

"Ahhhhhh!!!" was all you could hear as i jumped onto my bed and shoved my head in my pillow. A long day. I mean, a really long day of school. Sometimes I just wish I could crawl in a hole and cry my eyes out.

"Beth!!!" My older brother shot in my room with a panic look in his eyes. "Are you alright?! What's wrong?!" I just stayed mute. "Beth" I continued the silence. Aggressively he shouts "Bethany Nicole Singleton! Answer me!!" Turning my head to give him a look with tears in my eyes, he calmly walks to me and sits down beside me.

"I'm sorry Beth, you know I worry about you..." his hand started rubbing against my head while he rambled on. "You are my little sister and you know I get defensive about you. Can you tell me what is wrong? Please?"

I sat straight up right beside him. I glanced up to his face and saw a look of concern. Now is the time to confess. I should tell him the truth. If the truth were to come out though, everything could change. I will tell him when the time is right. I promise this to myself...

My life was like a big secret "Jared I just really miss her today... And school was hard today.." He looked at me as if he didn't believe a word I said. I was always a terrible liar. My lip seemed to tremble when I do. He gave me the poker face he was known to give so well. "What? Jared I'm forreal. I'm fine."

"I know you better" he was telling the truth. He really does know me better.

"Jared Keith Ellis!!! I am fine! Now get up! And stop giving me that look!!" I tried to lighten the mood and I jumped up with a fake smile.

Thankfully he couldn't read my act easily. He smiles back and playfully punched me. Rushing him out of my room, the remote to the stereo ends up in my hand and Suit & Tie by Justin Timberlake starts playing.

My body flew on my bed like a flying squirrel and I kinda laughed at myself. Suddenly I feel a relief over myself. Like a passing breeze of fresh air entered my lungs and whispered to myself that something good is coming. The waves of a beautiful ocean shore calmly awakening deep inside the soul of me. The feeling of the mood. It's changing with a grin upon my face.

"I can't wait till I get you on the floor good looking!!" I busted out singing loudly for the whole world to hear. Or at least my brother in the other room anyway.

"WOOOO!!!!" I jumped out my bed and started dancing crazily! "And as long as I got my suit and tie i'ma leave it all on the floor tonight..." I was singing along with this then suddenly...

My IPhone started to vibrate as I was fiddling around to find it. Every time I really need my phone I can never find it immediately. This would happen to me.

Finally my hand stumbled across the vibrating phone and I pulled my arm up with the phone in my hand. I glanced at the screen to see who it was that was calling me. Peri. Oh alright.

"Hello?"

"Heyy!! Baby!" Baby is what they call me. Everyone to be honest. I really don't know why. Sometimes I felt like I shoulda been in Dirty Dancing. I wish I was in a 80's movie. "NOBODY PUTS BABY IN THE CORNER!!"

"Bethany? Child you ok girl?" Peri asked. "Oh my google Agent P! I did not mean to say that! Ya see what had happened was...." I started to trail off as Peri stated what happened real short and simple. "You thought out loud and were thinking of Dirty Dancing weren't you!?!" There was a long pause. I swear she is my sister at heart. She knows me better than I know my own self. "Why yes Peri that is exactly what happened!! Sometimes it scares me how well you know me and what I'm thinking." She chuckled through the phone and said "Girl you don't even know. Oh by the way I called because my mom is going outta town and I wanted to ask if I could stay at your place cuz I kinda need somewhere to stay...." I immediately stopped what I was doing stared at my phone like a complete idiot and said "WELL DUHHHH!!!! When ya coming?!? Hurry up and come on!"

Randomly there is this huge giggle through the phone and she said "i'll be there in 20 minutes girl!! Love you to bits! Bye girl" I smiled and replied "Alright girl see ya soon" and hung up the phone.

I laid back down on my bed and started thinking about the events that happened today. I know why Peri was really coming over and it wasn't just because her mom. It was from what happened. I probably will never be the same. She's truly the only person who knows. Tears strolled down my face. Today, April 11th, I had....

I could not reach it fast enough! Finally! The phone found its way in my hand. Hmmm.. Who is it now? The name across the screen read Harry Styles. Okie dokie.
