Madhav sighed, feeling the weight of the situation. He was sure Aryan would make sure to take all the revenge for making him struggle while not getting up. As he entered the lecture hall, he spotted Aryan at the front, ready to start his class.
"Great, just great," Madhav muttered under his breath. He could already hear Aryan's teasing voice in his head. "You know I’m going to make this a nightmare for you, right?" Aryan flashed a mischievous grin, clearly enjoying his brother's discomfort.
As the lecture began, Aryan glanced over at Madhav, a smirk on his face. "So, Madhav, ready to show us what you’ve got in math today?" The class erupted in laughter, and Madhav felt his face burn with embarrassment. He knew Aryan was going to make this moment even worse for him later. "Just wait till I get you back," Madhav thought, but deep down, he knew he couldn't help but love these moments with his brothers, even if they came with a side of teasing.
Madhav shifted in his seat, trying to muster up some confidence. He knew Aryan loved to put him on the spot, but he also knew he had to hold his ground. "Yeah, I’m ready," he said, trying to sound more confident than he felt.
Aryan leaned against the desk, arms crossed, and raised an eyebrow. "Alright, let’s see what you’ve got then. Solve this equation on the board." He wrote a challenging problem on the whiteboard, one that made Madhav’s heart race. The class watched with anticipation, and Madhav could feel the pressure mounting.
Taking a deep breath, he stood up and walked to the front, trying to block out the laughter and whispers from his classmates. He focused on the problem, recalling the steps he needed to take. As he worked through the equation, he could hear Aryan throwing in playful comments, but he pushed through, determined to prove himself.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Madhav wrote down the final answer and turned to face the class. A mix of relief and pride washed over him as he heard a few claps and cheers from his friends. Aryan, though still smirking, nodded in approval. "Not bad, little bro. I guess you’ve learned a thing or two after all." Madhav couldn’t help but smile, feeling a sense of accomplishment despite the teasing.
Madhav felt a rush of adrenaline as he returned to his seat, heart still racing. Aryan's approval, despite the teasing, meant a lot to him. The lecture continued, and Aryan moved on to the next topic, but Madhav couldn’t shake off the feeling of triumph.
As the class wrapped up, Aryan called out, "Alright, everyone, don’t forget your homework! And Madhav, I expect you to ace it after that performance!" The class erupted in laughter again, but this time Madhav joined in, feeling lighter.
After the lecture, Madhav approached Aryan, a playful glint in his eye. "You know, one day, I’m going to get you back for all this teasing." Aryan chuckled, ruffling Madhav’s hair. "Good luck with that! But seriously, you did great today. Keep it up, and maybe I won’t be so hard on you next time."
Madhav smiled, feeling grateful for Aryan’s support. As they walked out of the lecture hall together, he thought about how these moments, filled with rivalry and laughter, were what made their bond stronger. No matter how much they teased each other, at the end of the day, they always had each other’s backs.
As they left the lecture hall, Aryan, the professor, noticed a group of students gathered around, looking puzzled over their homework. With his usual charisma, he approached them, saying, "Alright, who needs help? Let's tackle this together." Madhav watched from a distance, feeling a wave of jealousy wash over him.
He had just impressed Aryan in class, but now here was his professor, effortlessly drawing attention and admiration from the students. Madhav tried to dismiss the feeling, telling himself that Aryan was just being a good teacher. Still, it stung a bit to see how easily Aryan could engage with everyone.
As Aryan patiently solved their doubts, cracking jokes and keeping the atmosphere light, Madhav felt a mix of admiration and frustration. He wanted to be included in that interaction, to contribute and show that he was just as knowledgeable.
After a few minutes, Aryan turned back to Madhav with a smile. "Hey, come on over! I could use another brain here." Madhav took a deep breath and stepped forward, ready to join in. "What are we working on?" he asked, determined to prove that he could shine in this setting too
Oh no, Madhav realized he had his next class with Karan bhai, and he couldn't afford to miss it. The thought of facing Karan bhai made him nervous; he knew he couldn't skip the class.
As Aryan beckoned him to join the group, Madhav hesitated. He quickly checked the time and knew he had to make a decision. "I've got to go, bhaiyaa" Madhav said apologetically, trying to sound casual. "I have Karan bhai's class now. Catch you later!" With a quick wave, Madhav hurried off to his next class, hoping to avoid any awkward encounters with Karan bhai.
Madhav entered the classroom, heart racing slightly. To his relief, Karan bhai seemed preoccupied with the lecture and didn’t even glance his way. Madhav took a seat at the back, trying to blend in and focus on the lesson.
As the class went on, he noticed Karan bhai was deep into his explanation, and the atmosphere felt surprisingly calm. Madhav found himself relaxing a bit, absorbing the material without the usual pressure he felt around Karan bhai.
By the end of the class, Madhav realized it had gone smoother than he expected. He felt a wave of relief wash over him as he packed his things, grateful that Karan bhai hadn’t paid him any special attention. Maybe today wouldn’t be so bad after all.
