Lost Souls

She lost a love once before,

All because of you.

You lured her in,

Caught her with a hook,

Dropped her dead,

Left her there to die.

She went running for something new.

He was there, just like you.

The broken baggage left behind.

Goodbye, you’ll miss me soon.

Left me in the dust to die,

Spit me out after the rough night,

I cry, I scream, I shake, I dream.

Lost soul left behind,

Hopefully to find demise.

She cries inside,

Lost her sight.

Soul left behind,

Lost because of love and lust.

All because of you.

Fool, set your trap,

Wait for the day it snaps.

Little white lies pile up, huddle close, and pray.

You lured me in,

Caught me with a hook,

Dropped me dead,

Left me there to die.

Once again I see,

What’s written between the lines.

The words whispered,

Behind backs can be heard clearly.

Maybe I am a lost soul.

A lost soul ready for flight,

Or the battle to be fought.

Play this game,

You’ll regret,

Hurt hidden in my eyes.

Once you see, clearly,

Maybe you won’t act so blind.

Lost souls can climb back up,

See the day light once again,

Exactly what I’ve done.

Regain the words,

Become not so speechless,

Exactly what I’ve done.

Ready for action,

Are the lost souls.

So maybe I am a lost soul,

Buried in the dust.

You lured me in,

Caught me with a hook,

Dropped me dead,

Left me there to die.

I survived.

See me fight,

For the passage way to light.

If sunlight leaves,

You beasts shouldn’t come and fight.

We know our way,

Through the dark,

The territory we live.

You knocked us down,

You have no reason to wear the crown,

You beasts destroy the human being,

I don’t think you are seeing,

Lost souls can have the upper hand,

Lost souls can fight.

One lost soul, at least, is ready to take flight.
