"So are you enjoying staying with your cousin again?" Angelina smiled and it made me smile too.

"Of course, Miss Angelina. I love you both dearly." I told her, slightly laughing.

"Well Im glad you can say that" she replied, and soon enough we got to the Trancy manor. Its beautiful. It had two garden sets surounding it and a man in black butlers attire (and seemed much like Sebastian, only meaner) approached us and led us inside.

"Alois has been expecting your arrival for the past two hours. Hes been pestering me, 'Claude, Claude, why arent they here' I do say, he seems excited." the butler named Claude said.

He opened the manors doors to reveal a shiny, beautiful manor, and a blonde boy in an elaborate outfit.

"Angelina!" Him and her exchanged hellos and 'perfection as usual'.

"This is my adopted daughter, Rose Jessi Dalles. She has been with our family since she was just two. And Rose, this is Alois Trancy, Earl of the Trancy estate." She introduced us, and I noticed she gave me a middle name. I was ok with this one. It seemed reasonable. I gave way to looking at him. Hair the same lenghth as Ciel's, icy blue eyes, and soft features. He had a dress shirt, dark green vest, black shorts and long black socks, and simple shoes. He held a box in his hands, but he seemed to clutch it tightly.

"Hello Rose, please, both of you join me in my office." He said. We followed the butler through a hall to a room with an oak desk. His butler set tea down on the desk for all three of us and then left.

"So how are you both this day?" He asked graciously.

"Fine, thank you." Angelina replied for us both, considering I didn't want to talk to this kid.

"I had gotten you a gift 3 days prior, I just thought it was perfect" Alois said as he got up and handed me the box he was clutching. He seems so vulnerable. I opened it, and it was diamonds set in the shape of a swan. I didn't know what it meant but it dawned on me to thank him.

"Thank you Alois. I appriciate this very much." I said, looking at the glint of happiness in his eyes.

"You remind me of a funeral... passionate and lovely in its gloom." He passionatly said, my mother rejoicing at his poetic voice.

"Isnt that amazing! Oh hes a drop of marmalade. Quite amazing." She praised him as I sat drinking my tea, and Alois glanced to me and began taking sips of his tea also.

"Would you like to attend a ball with me? Im sure you will like it." Alois asked.

"Yes, thank you." I replied softly.

"Its at the Phantomhive Estate in two days, is it alright that I show earlier than you? I must present myself before my uncle first." He said.

"Well, Alois you know Im Ciel's aunt, so Ive put her to stay with her cousin. I will personally make sure she meets your needs for the ball." Angelina said, assuringly.

"Oh, wonderful! Well, it seems you must head home before late. I thank you both for the company you have given me today. I will write to you, Rose. And thank you Angelina, for bringing her here." Alois bid us farewell and we went into our carriage to head home. But something kept slipping into my mind. How could such a sweet thing like him creep me out so much.
The ride home was strange. When I examined the diamond swan i realized it was a ring. The diamonds were rose color, wine like. Suddenly it hit me. I know Sebastian. I know him. He was a good friend. Wonderful actually.

"Mister! You're back! Did you bring sweets?" I asked the tall man. He had black hair pulled into a short ponytail, and wore a white dress shirt and black pants, along with a brown vest. I had only known him for a week, but it seemed like forever when he came by.

"Of course Evangeline."he said. Evangeline was my true name as he put it. He said it suited me well. I always looked up to him. He was a brother of sorts. He handed me Mulberry salt water taffy, which I gladly chewed down. But then I asked him a question,

"Would you like a bite Sir?" I always called him 'Sir' since I couldn't properly say Mister.

"Well my dear Eve, I dont like sweets much" he replied sweetly.

"Then why do you always bring me sweets?" I was bewildered.

"Well, it is very hard to explain, but you're different, almost like me." He replied, but it confused me. Truth is, Im sure a strange child that liked being around bats and crows had eventually grown on him. And like always, he said he would be back the next day, and for a few weeks, it was like that. Sadly, one day, he dropped off a big sack of taffy and didn't return. I remembered when he left me with a special little mark.

"Hold still, its very cold." He said holding my left wrist. He took a white feather dripping with white ink and made a flower with a heart in it, right below my palm. It started glowing. It took almost a year to fade.

I had just gotten back to the manor when I was greeted with a bag of mulberry salt water taffies, and an annoyed face.

"Don't think you'll be getting deliveries to strange aliases anymore. Sebastian said your name was 'Evangeline'." Ciel said, stressing the name like it was 'Evaangeeleen'.
