Chpt. 10

"Check-Mate."

Reader's P.O.V.

About four days later Mey-Rin and Pluto assisted me to Alois' manor, since he has asked me to stay for a day. We left to it in the middle of the night, bringing blankets and pillows so we could sleep. We both had on plain orange dresses with sleeves that came down to our elbows and the bottom passed our knees. We had comfortable white socks on and both of us had our hair split in two low ponytails. Pluto sat quietly as he fiddled with the bow tie on his ankle, Ciel glaring at him, despising his dress shirt and black slacks. Sebastian lead the carriage, with Ciel laying across the seat in front of me and Mey-Rin. We needed to make it there by the morning, which seemed to bother Ciel slightly.

(TIME 2kip2 from Thollux, yo lusus,,, morning around 9)

"My lady Rose Jessi, we have arrived." Sebastian called to us. We all stepped out and Sebastian took Mey-Rin's and my luggage. Ciel sulked over to me and said something, but I didn't understand it; I was day dreaming. He said it again. Then he grabbed my hand and stopped me.

"Hello? Oh god I knew you were an idiot.. Well be careful. Its bad enough Angelia has you being courted by the brat... I can't have you getting hurt. It would jeopardize my place. Goodbye, I will see you tomorrow I'm sure." he said, looking down, almost examining the floor.

"Of course Ciel" I say as me, Mey-Rin, Sebastian, and Ciel walked to the manors doors. Pluto quietly whimpered as Sebastian whispered something to him, I'm guessing it was an official order, from a demon, I'm sure it was understood. "Kota" is what I called Sebastian, on days when "Sir" became boring, and it almost slipped from me, as I urged him to comfort me.

"K- , Sebastian, do you know if he has any sweets here?" I said, sounding like a commoner.

"Of course my lady, his forte is sweets" he said, noticing I was still a little kid. The thought came back, and I could feel my (e/c) eyes darken. My face reverted from its smile, to a sullen look. Pluto had a suitcase of my things, with Mey-Rin's outfit under my notebook. Sebastian knocked on the manor doors, and an exhausted maid stepped out. I was almost jealous of her features, her being well endowed, and her hair was long. I'm sure she and Alois have gotten along well, considering her smile was genuinely warm.

"I'm Hannah, Master Trancy's maid. I'm elated that you have arrived on my master's behalf. I appreciate it very much... lately he's been a bit glum.. I'm sure he'd be happy to see you!" She said, sounding a bit unsure. We bid farewell to Sebastian and Ciel, and I was handed dog treats for Pluto. As we stepped in the manor, I examined it. The floor was a golden marble, it shined nicely. My left heel hit the floor, and the boys who stood at the stairs whispered to each other. They were triplets, each with purple hair, and wore dress shirts and vests, white napkins draped over their arms. It was indistinct and I was slightly bothered, but my betrothed came running down the hall, his footsteps matching his giggles, his eyes were bright and full of excitement, I was wondering what could match his hearts capacity.

"Jessi! You're here! I've missed you dearly!" He said embracing me in his arms. Its only been 4 days...

"So have I Alois" I said, giving him the sweetest smile I could. I would have to brave through this, luckily I have my best friend Pluto.

"Oh, Hannah, show them to the Rose room! Allow them to dress suitably." He said to her in a harsh tone, much different from the one he used with me.

"Alois, would you allow Pluto to stay with us? I could never depart with him like that" I said.

"Well... of course. Just fine. Well I will have breakfast prepared at noon. I'm sure you would all like a nap, as I would also. See you at noon!" And he waltzed off with Claude. Hannah led us to a room with two beds and a lounge. It was deep blue, with orange roses all over the room, gold and white furniture. Hannah was setting everything in the room, when I noticed she had a bandage over her right eye.
