My eyes opened sleepily as the sun rays swept up against my eyes. I hated waking up early and had broken countless alarm clocks and bed stands in annoyance. I wondered still half asleep at what time it was. I got up slowly and dragged myself into the shower room. The silver and blue bathroom was annoyingly cold under my feet and the hot water wasn't running. Nice way to start the day huh?

After I showered (cold, I might add), I put on my new uniform. A navy blue long trousers, and a light blue collar shirt that went with a tie. The school wasn't strict on footwear apparently, so I could wear whatever I wanted. I settled for my black sneakers today. Since I hardly wear any makeup, let alone to school, I just brushed some powder on my face and tied up my braids.

Done and ready for school. I locked my apartment and took the elevator down. My first day of school in London, thousands of kilometers away from home. I had gotten a business scholarship to come and study for one year before going into the universities.

I decided to grab some breakfast at Starbucks on the way to school. School started at 9 in the morning. That's kind of late to my standards. It also ended at 6pm, way too late for my liking. I still had half an hour more so I headed in.

Starbucks was more crowded than I anticipated. I stood at the back of the line and waited. It took me a full 10 minutes to get a cappuccino and two donuts. No wonder school starts at 9. I found a vacant seat at the back tables and sat down deciding to look through my study timetable and make sure I brought everything with me.

I was only halfway into my second donut that I noticed the presence of another human.I didn't bother looking; I had better things to do. I still had a good 15 minutes left. The school was a 5 minute walk away from Starbucks. I rented an apartment nearby so I wouldn't be panting as I entered the classroom.

"Um, excuse me." A voice asked. Male I might add. I looked up to meet the most breathtakingly beautiful guy I've ever seen. Apart from his obvious good looks, he was very well groomed and smelled of peppermint. He also had very good manners. Never in my life had I met someone who was both hot and humble.

"May I help you?" I said pretending to be occupied with the schedule in front of me that I had reviewed over three times.

"Well I.... I saw your uniform and I was wondering if you attend St. Peter's." He brought a hand up to run through his hair. He remembered that his hair was must have taken some time to do and he dropped his hand.

"Well I guess so. It's my first day today." I glanced at my watch. Ten minutes more. "If you don't mind I don't want to be late for my first day at school." I gave him my kindest apologetic grin and started chucking my books into my bag.

To my surprise his face lit up.

"It's my first day too. You mind if we walk to school together?" He asked hopefully. I slung my bag over my back and almost laughed at his expression. Thinking better of of it, I didn't.

"Free country right?" I joked standing up and leaving a tip on the mahogany timber. "By the way what's your name?"

We walked all the way outside of Starbucks before he finally answered my question.
