I stared out the windows has Zayn weaved through the streets, obviously, I don't know where we're going. I apparently have a lack of GPS in my system. In the small space in the car, the confines were tight, but oddly comfortable. I removed my eyes from the windshield and fixated it on the driver himself. He seemed busy focusing on the traffic, so I decided to just, look.
Zayn was as usual, dressed in very casual clothing, with a little touch of biker boy. Which would explain the safety boots, and the black leather jacket. His hands were loosely gripping the steering wheel, while his other hand was placed on the transmission. Saving the best for last, I let my gaze lift to his face. His finely chiseled jaw bones, and his mesmerizing eyes. His lips pulled back into a smile.
"Checking me out, are we?" He smirked in a good humored way. I didn't bother averting my gaze.
"Maybe." I shrugged nonchalantly. We came to a red light stop and Zayn took his eyes of the road and gave me a sideways glance, so to keep the road in his peripheral vision.
"That's okay, I stare at you all the time." He gave me one of his extremely cute grins. If he was a little kid, I'd probably squeeze his cheeks to death.
"Is that supposed to creep me out?" I asked him.
"Maybe." He replied, imitating my tone. I rolled my eyes at him. He turned his eyes back to the road when the red light turned to green. Hitting the gas, the car started moving again.
"Where are we going Zayn?" I asked. Curiosity was killing me, screw the saying, 'Curiosity killed the cat'.
"You'll see." He said it so patiently, it was annoying. I swallowed down a sigh and tried to dig around for a topic to converse with. He cleared his throat, and I scratched my elbow.
"So..." I started.
He shifted his eyes over for a second before looking back at the road. I scratched my jaw. "You know we only kissed once right?" Zayn spoke, catching me extremely off guard.
"Umm." I sputtered, obviously at a loss for words. "I don't remember."
"That's cause you were drunk." He stated matter-of-factly. I shot him a warning glance which made his face split into a grin.
"Well I guess you won't be getting any." I folded my arms over my chest and looked out towards the street. We were now taking the smaller streets, I thought I recognized a couple of them, but all the streets looked more or less the same.
"You sure?" He lifted his hand off the transmission gear and ran his forefinger down my jaw line. I rolled my eyes and swiped his hand off. "Oh well, were here. Don't look out. Close your eyes."
"Why?" I asked, fighting the urge to turn my gaze towards the windshield. I kept it firmly fixed on Zayn's handsome face, which wasn't very hard to do.
"Because I said so!" He commanded. "Now shut your eyes already." I sighed reluctantly, but complied nonetheless. He opened his door and want out, arriving at my side thirty seconds later -I counted.
"Don't you dare make me fall." I warned him. He only chuckled to that. He reached for my hands, taking it in his own and pulling me out of the car.
"Can I open my eyes now?" I asked, growing weary of where he was taking me. But I've come to have trust in him that he's not going to kidnap me, or kill me in an alley.
"Give me a minute. Less if you walk faster." He scolded me. I refrained from mumbling some profanities. I realized I haven't been swearing much. Back home, I'm pretty much the king of colourful language. I could swear in about sixteen of the eight hundred different languages. Add in the English ones, and I'm golden.
