Chapter 11: So Weird Yet So Right

"Perrie, wake up. It's 8:30 already and you told us you were okay with it if we woke you up at this time." Jade, for sure.

"Rise and shine, Bam Bam! Pancakes in the breakfast room's about to slam!" Jesy, obviously.

"Jesy, that doesn't make any sense. At all." Leigh-Anne, no doubt.

"Don't care. If food makes her wake up, then so be it." Jesy actually has a point.

"What's the noise all about? I just want to sleep..."  Perrie frowned slightly. Okay, she told Jade that it was definitely fine with her if the girls woke her up and she should wake up right now. But she can't. For some reason, the bed suddenly felt really comfortable. As if more fluffy pillows were put on her bed when she was sleeping, as if the blanket around her waist didn't want to let her go.

She hears more voices, might as well just pretend to sleep while they aren't trying to wake her up with Jesy's hillbilly accent again.

"Should we just leave them alone?" What 'them'? Jesy's saying strange stuff these days...

"But it's going to be 9:00 and we were told to have our bags taken at 9:00." Jade does have a point, but Perrie's so sleepy.

"But they look so peaceful together, you know!" Leigh-Anne piped in. What?

'Okay, I want you to keep on pretending while you become mentally aware of what's happening, alright, Perrie?'

And she did.

The girls are still talking, but this time they were mumbling so as not to disturb her.

The bed was really comfortable. "Oh my God, if we didn't have to do anything today, I'd rather sleep on this bed all day..."

Until now, the blanket on her waist was holding her firmly but gently, as if it was fine for the blanket if she went away. The problem was that Perrie just wanted to snuggle with the blanket even more, so she did. And it felt so weird yet so right.

"Hold on." Now that she was slowly becoming aware with everything around her even with her eyes closed, this blanket on her waist was no blanket. It didn't have the silkiness or softness or its smooth texture, it was coarse and a bit rough. And, was that hair?!

And she was not lying on the duvet, excuse me. She was lying on something hard but smooth at the same time, and she heard a heartbeat, and then another, and then countless others.

Holy crap.

"No! We're going to wake her up, whether she wants it or–" Jade lectured, but Perrie cut her off.

"Jade, Leigh, Jess," the three girls turned to her at the mention of their names.

"O-Oh Perrie, you're awa–" Leigh-Anne tried to say, but Perrie cut her off again.

"Don't ask why but tell me where I am right now. Be specific, please." Perrie softly demanded them.

"Well, you're in the hotel, in your bedroom, on your bed, well, not really. You're in...er...his arms right now. Like, he's cuddling you right now." Jade replied nervously. "Oh Lord, may Perrie not blow. May Perrie not blow..."

"Is he sleeping?" Perrie whispered, almost for the girls not to hear, her eyes still closed.

"Well, he hasn't moved an inch ever since you stirred. Well, I think I saw his arms move a bit when you stirred." Good, Jade was very observant. Very good.

"When did I ever allow him to sleep on my bed. Isn't that why there was a sleeping bag on the floor? Isn't that the purpose of a sleeping bag?" Perrie said this slowly to herself, but directly to Zayn when she opened her eyes.

She turned her head slowly, only to catch sight of Zayn's chest. At least it wasn't his face. Perrie didn't have the energy to see his face right now.

"Hurry up, Pezz. If you get out of bed successfully, we'll wait for you outside with your suitcase." Jade encouraged her with a smile.

Perrie looked for something, something that would replace her to be in Zayn's arms instead. She caught sight on her pillow in front of her, it would be perfect.

Perrie grabs it as if it was some prized possession and slowly but surely shimmies out of Zayn's arms and quickly replaces herself with the pillow, gently placing it in Zayn's arms. Being able to fool him, Zayn groans a bit and hugs the pillow, bringing it close to his face, a soft snore coming out of his lips.

Perrie rolls off her bed, creating a soft thud! as her back hit the floor. Despite the pain, she breathed out a sigh of relief.

"Okay, girls, I'm awake. You can leave now while I put my bag out and take a quick shower. Then we can meet at the breakfast room. Okay?" Perrie says, dusting herself a bit as she stood up. She gives the girls a smile to ensure them that what she did was completely normal.

Perrie's glad that she isn't the only one wearing a nightgown. Jade was wearing a knee-length red and white polka-dotted nightgown while Jesy and Leigh-Anne were clad in pyjamas. Except that Perrie had the shorter nightgown, which was only until her thighs.

"Okay, Perrie. See ya later!" Jade chirps in a hushed tone as she ushers Leigh-Anne and Jesy out of the door again, blocking out the girls' protests of "But we haven't greeted her a good morning yet!"

Their protests were blocked out when Jade closed the door with a click.

Perrie stared at the door for a while, trying to calm herself down. "Breathe, Perrie. First thing in the morning and you can't just get angry."

Her eyes turned to the floor near her bed. There it was, the sleeping bag, a bit ruffled and it did look like it was used. "So he did use it..."

Her eyes went up, where she saw his sleeping figure, his back facing her. Why did he even sleep beside her? The fact that she was and up until now, angry at him should let him know that he wasn't going to touch her, but there he was, arms around her waist, and she actually mistook them for a blanket.

Why didn't Perrie feel them? Was it because she was so sleepy? But even if she did, when she woke up, she felt so safe. As if he held her for dear life, never wanting to let go. And his hold on her waist felt so right. She felt so safe and secure in his arms that she didn't want to rise up.

Jesus, he looked so peaceful in his sleep. As if he wasn't getting hurt by her over and over again. As if the things she told him didn't hurt his heart like knives.

Perrie blushed at the thought of her being safe in Zayn's arms. She shook her head vigorously. She's not supposed to act like this. She's supposed to be mad at him.

"But he looks so peaceful and the way he held me..."

"Listen, Perrie. That boy is nothing but a womanizer. If he really is a gentleman, he will apologize to you in the most twisted way you'd ever expect him to do."

Perrie sighed as she ruffled her hair. She needs to put her suitcase out, take a shower, and meet the girls in the breakfast room.
