Why James is a much better protagonist and likeable character than Victor.

This isn't any hate towards the character or stories this is just my unprofessional opinion and some criticism for FireStorm-X.

For one. James actually has a personality and can be funny,Victor just seems to only have personalities from other characters like Leon from the resident evil series and Victor is kinda bland to be honest. He's like that one dimensional badass that doesn't have a personality.

James however has his own personality.

He's crazy, charming and a sadist as well as very bloodthirsty but he can get serious when he wants to be and he has done a lot of evil things.

Unlike Victor who seems to have no real personality or sense of humour at all really. Here's the problem with some of FireStorm-X's books, some of his characters seem to ether take personalities from different games or characters from movies.

Secondly James actually has a lot of depth to his character and has a more depressing story as well as a depressing outlook on life.

Sure Victor had it rough growing up with an abusive dad but James well,James has been abused, neglected and unloved throughout his life and one of his adoptive mothers raped him so its pretty clear who lived a more painful life. But even with all the traumatic experiences James still chosses to at least be somewhat good.

He's an anti hero for a reason.

And for the third reason why James is a much better protagonist and likeable character than Victor is because James has flaws and acknowledged them.

Obviously everyone has flaws and James does have some big flaws such as this: James's bloodthirsty nature and tendency to not know when to shut up can land him in trouble. We all know James is a bloodthirsty and sadistic psychopath who takes pleasure in killing those he deems as evil but he enjoys it just a little too much.

Victor however does have his flaws but not many of them are really acknowledged or written upon such as this. If I didn't comment that Victor and Julie were abusing Mabel and Dipper then they would just keep abusing those kids.

Yeah, they did abuse those kids and they didn't exactly seem sorry of feel bad about it before i started to comment on it about saying that their abusive. If I didn't comment and call that out then they would still be abusing those kids like their dad did to them. I know that FireStorm-X did say that was his fault which It is don't get me wrong but even James wouldn't abuse a child no matter the situation.

If a kid did lead a horde of Zombies to James's Home then he'd ether give that kid a slap or a scolding for their mistake and make them own up to it.

Victor however just punched a twelve year old because of those reasons. Does he not know that everyone has flaws? Or is he just a one dimensional badass who has no flaws?

On the topic of flaws, yes James is not a good person, there's no doubt about that because of growing up with no love. All James had was his bloodthirsty nature, cruel and sadistic pleasure and a whole lot of pain behind his insanity.

And not to mention that James has killed thousands of people and does have some regret over it because he knows its wrong and the fact that he enjoys it just makes him hate himself even more.

Sure Victor does have his own self-loathing but did he have any regrets over killing people like James does? I don't think so,nothing wrong with that but that gives some more depth to James's character that he does have his regrets and that James is complex.

Yes,Victor can be complex and complicated to understand and so can James, there's a bit of a contrast of who is the better character and who has the better personality and its James who has better personality than Victor.

Another good reason why James is the superior character is because James actually struggles at times.

There's no denying that Victor is a good fighter to go against people like John wick or Tyler rake who Victor certainly compares and kinda copies but most of the people that Victor fights. He ether speed blitzes them with powers or because the plot demands that we take him seriously.

But unlike Victor James doesn't have any crazy abilities that he uses or if he did have them then James would only use them if he needs to. Much like his wings,he only uses them if he needs to or if he has to make a quick get away and James he fights fair and he's sick of winning all the time or that there's no real challenge for him. Don't get me wrong,Victor is a good fighter but he relies on his power or plot armour or his universe to not throw any real challenges at him unless it's someone on his level then he struggles.

It's much like Kaitlyn in a way,She's an incompetent fighter who relies on her powers but Victor he's got skill,he has the powers. I feel like it's just Victor speed blitzing through things that are weaker than him.

Yes,Bill was much, much stronger than Victor in almost every aspect but it was like Bill forgot that he and Julie are the ones who shot his eye, does he not learn at all?
