"Ari, wake up,"
A manly voice came from the kitchen who was preparing breakfast for the two of them.
Whereas Arranya, who was deeply dead in her dreamland, cuddling her pillow and dreaming it as Aviral's chest.
"Ari, you'll be late for your shift, wake up," but Aviral knew his attempts of waking her up would be futile unless he'll go and shake her up to awaken the lady.
"What's wrong with her? She used to be so punctual," the boy hissed, cleansing his hands with warm water.
He took off his apron and went to sit next to her on the bed to wake her up slowly so she doesn't wake up with a jerk.
"Ari," he calls out softly, lightly tapping her shoulder and then caressing her hair.
"Wake up, my love," his soft tone was so pure early in the morning that even a dinosaur would have woken up but Ari? No no just nope. No signs of her waking up at all.
"Ari?"
But her unconsciousness was now worrying Aviral that made him sit straight on his knees. He shook her harder this time and finally she moves a finger.
"Ahh-" Avi sat down with a sigh of relief on the bed, hiding his face in his palms to relieve the tension.
He rubbed his eyes to look at her taking a turn to the other side.
"Ari, wake up now, that's enough," but he didn't let her turn away.
Avi took off the blanket over her so if he couldn't wake her up, maybe the cold would? And he was right.
"Kya hai?" Ari whined like a kid, turning back to Aviral's eyes with annoyed expressions with closed eyes. "Mummy mat ban meri, samjh gaya? Subha subha pareshaan kar raha hai, badtameez,"
She cursed, almost crying after being separated from her warm and cozy blanket that she tried to slide up but Aviral got off the bed and just folded the blanket to keep it aside on the table to wake up his girlfriend.
"Just. Wake. Up. I said," he sternly emphasized each word for her after being scared to death for a moment by her way of sleeping.
"Ahhhh!" She whined, kicking and punching the blanket inside as she slowly opened her eyes to peek at her boyfriend.
This morning feels new.
She never had felt this way. She's never been in a relationship before, although she had felt something for someone, but this feeling of being in a relationship with someone feels weird.
It's a good weird feeling.
A feeling that she wishes to feel everyday.
Her eyes couldn't flutter open as soon as she wakes up but her smile did flicker on her lips as Aviral's face came in light in front of her.
"Good morning," he smiled, caressing his hair lightly.
"Morning," Ari sang. She pulled out her arms from the blanket and expanded them wide for a hug.
Aviral laughed at her cuteness, leaning down to hug her tightly with a smile that he can never compare it with any other happiness.
He doesn't know their future, but this present is the best gift for him then for how much ever time it stays by his side, he'll always cherish these moments with Arranya.
Ari moaned when Avi swayed both of them in the hug.
"Chal ab, jaldi uth, teri duty ka time ho raha hai,"
