13 | Date And Double Date

"So this is what you wanted?" Avi exclaimed, running behind Arranya in the entire hallway with a puzzled mind.

"Of course," Ari chuckled, walking at her usual speed that Avi couldn't catch anymore. Maybe these small things are the side effects of staying away from your best friend for years.

Not contacting them anymore because of certain situations caused these miniature changes that now both of them will have to commence observing towards each other. How the other person has changed and in what ways would be utterly important from now onwards for their anew relationship.

"Aww my girlfriend is so sweet," Avi ran to give her a back hug that she quickly resisted as they're in an open place. Prone to get caught in an instant, by anyone, from anywhere.

But Avi didn't mind as he was on cloud 9 after seeing her silent yet loud efforts to keep him with herself.

"You literally managed to get my duties shifted in your department so we can spend time together, even though that's the toughest thing to do? You're amazing my lo—"

"Lo—?"

But as Avi was going to spell 'love' they observed Samar and Anna in standing in front of them with sharp lifted brows and hands folded in front of their chests. A deep penetrating gaze that shot daggers at Aviral to kill him just by their eyes.

"Lo— what? Complete it, Avi," Anna withered her eye at him.

"Lo—? Lovely bestie—" Avi chuckled, making up a similar word with 'Lo' to not be caught. "I was saying lovely bestie, haha! What did you think?" Avi and Ari both laughed together to lessen the tension around them.

The duo walked to the old couple in front of them who suspected this new behaviour amongst the two since morning.

"Yeah yeah, why not lovely bestie," Anna creased her eyebrows in rage. "Aaj se pehle to tune isse kabhi lovely nahi bola," she stated, forcing Aviral to hark back at his memories but he couldn't remember even one day if he ever used that word for Ari to prove Anna wrong.

Ari whereas wanted to punch him so bad, but she couldn't.

"Arey kya farak padta hai meri pyari Anna—" Avi was going to side hug the girl when Samar eyed him.

"Kya be? Teri girlfriend se pehle meri dost hai samjha? Tu bhi to Ari ko hug karta hai, mai ya Anna tujhe kuch kehte hai?" Avi gritted at him, showing him a punch as he did give Anna a side hug making Ari sigh at their childish behaviour.

"Baat me to dam hai iski," Anna sided with Aviral making Samar sigh as well.

"Yeah yeah fine, I anyways don't have a problem with you guys," Samar looked away in defeat.

He didn't have any problem with any physical touches, and hugs as they've been friends for so long. Even if not physically together for the last 4 years, still then, they had been closer than before due to distance.

They took care of each other more through the distance, than they would have if they were together.

Distance isn't always that bad, you just need to perceive how to use it in a better way.

So for Samar, as well as for Aviral, Arranya and Ananya, none of them have issues with any physical intimacy limited to hugging their best friends.

Yeah, they could be cutely jealous, but not envious of each other out of insecurities.

"But hey— you just distracted us from the topic," Samar realised, snatching back his girlfriend from Aviral's hold as he pointed a finger at both of them.

"You both—" he indicated at both Ari and Avi in a to and from motion. "Tell us the truth. How could you even get back to normal so soon? Huh? Your fight last night was huge, so I deny to accept that it was nothing much to get you guys reconciled within a night," he suspected, and so did Anna.

4 eyes on Aviral and Arranya, suspiciously killing the culprits with their stern gazes, waiting for the couple to give up lying and honestly tell them what's the matter.

"Fine, Avi and I have reconciled because..." Arranya told but halted, reverting Samar's actions by edging her finger at him. "Because..." She gulped. Nothing came to her mind as an excuse.

She was confused as well. Whether it would be right to tell them instantly about their relationship, or to wait for sometime? They're best friends, they deserve to know about their relationship though. But still, there's still a privacy to every couple that shall not be disclosed until comfortable.

But also, keeping it private doesn't mean you shouldn't tell that you're dating each other. Just keep your affairs, issues, arguments and fight in private if you are.

But nazar is also true.

But they're best friends so why would they curse their relationship?

"Because we're dating,"

And Arranya spilled after being tired of debating whether to tell them or not. And if she would have thought more about this, her mind would have bloated with pessimism.

Aviral turned around to look at her with big eyes. He thought she wasn't going to say it because, it was fine to keep it concealed for sometime. But it's alright since she said it, she might have been thoughtful before revealing it, so trusting his girlfriend, he exhaled with a smile.

Samar however slowly traced back his hand as he looked at Anna for a few seconds.

"I— knew it," Samar says with a sad face.

Arranya and Avi jerked their necks to look at him in shock.

"Wh- what?" Ari exclaimed.

"No like— we both knew it that it's going to happen someday or the other so- yeah-" he stuttered, looking everywhere as if it was too obvious.

Ari also neutralized her expressions as she tightly pressed her smile knowing that yes, it was obvious. And not just now, but it was obvious since years if they ever would have reconciled.

So, it was to happen anyways. Everyone knew about this.

"So," Ari avoided eye contact, pouting on the side so someone would say something to make it less awkward when Anna excitedly chimed, clapping her hands as an idea thrashed out of her mouth.

"So let's go on a double date now?"
