"Your fiancé is fine, but your child is no more. We're really sorry. We could have probably saved the baby only if she was brought here sooner—" Aviral very calmly was about to finish when Vansh furiously holds his collar.
"Don't fucking tell me that everyday excuse of yours Aviral." Vansh screeches at him, holding his collar and glaring Aviral with threatening eyes.
"Don't fucking stick that silly excuse of your irresponsible behaviour. It was my baby. How can you say that to me?" He jerks Aviral's collar in fret as he couldn't handle the news.
Shubh jumps in between to part away the two when Samar and Anna also came running towards them. Samar meddled in between the boys to take Aviral away from him, whereas Ananya held Arranya in a side hug.
"Are you okay?" Anna whispers to Arranya.
"Hmm," Ari nods, trying to get away from her to help Aviral but Ananya held her close and tight enough to not let her go.
Somehow, after a lot of struggles with some ward boys and other hospital staff's help, they were able to separate Aviral and Vansh from each other but Vansh didn't stop hollering at Arranya and Aviral.
"You—" he points at Arranya whom Aviral covered behind himself, blocking Vansh's vision. "Arranya Awasthi. Kis Janam ka badla liya hai tune mujhse Ari? Mana meri galti thi jo bhi humare past me hua, but iska matalb ye nahi tha ki tu mere bacche ki jaan le le." He cried, brawled, but he didn't stop cursing at her.
Arranya was just numb at his words. What else could she feel? It wasn't in her hands. She is a mere intern and was called here because the doctors would take more time to come, and since she's an intern, she'd be a better help than nurses in the hospital. But that definitely didn't mean that she could save a life in danger because she's still learning.
Aviral fists his hands, about to throw endless punches at Vansh's face for talking like that to Arranya, but she held his hand before he could walk away from her.
"Avi—" she sniffs lightly holding his hand. Aviral promptly turns around and bends to her eye level, cupping her cheek. "Yeah? Are you okay? Don't cry, Ari. I'll make him pay. I'm here." He tries to soothe her down. But he decides to let go of fighting with Vansh when he saw those big fat water balls glistening in her eyes.
"Ari," he sings her name like a lullaby while caressing her cheek. "Look at me. Don't look at him. Look into my eyes, my girl." He tilts her head to face him and she follows.
"Don't. Don't listen to anything around. Just focus on my words. Just focus on me. Just hear me out and believe me that you're not at fault in any of this. Whatever happened was none of our fault. It was all fate. It has nothing to do with the result that we're seeing right now. You get it?" He cups both her cheeks and squeezes them to distract her from everything.
Anna and Samar standing on either sides of Arranya worriedly ran their gaze between Arranya and Vansh. Anna looks at Samar when Aviral was handling his love, and tell Samar to either calm Vansh down, or call police.
"I'll call poli—"
"No no no no no, Samar no—what are you even saying?" But Ari holds his wrist and stops him mid way.
"Why, Ari? Why are you scared? It's not even your fault—"
"No, still no. Just no. My family and I can't go through all that court and police station stuff again, please Samar. We've already suffered a lot, mentally and emotionally five years ago. I can't afford police station again, Samar please." She begs.
