Part 2: Danger approaches!

It was in the morning. Kane woke up early at 6 am. He put his coffee with 2 sugar cubes and drank from the warm cappuccino with that fluffy and creamy milk. Kane wears his white coat and police cap on his head. He strolls off into Lumina square to the N.E.P.S. department. After meeting up with Zhu Yuan, who had the official carrot location, they started to stroll around inside. The hollow was empty with its ruined terrain. The two officers went and strolled around until they saw a red string. Kane looked at its material, looking at the terrain again. Then, he whispered, almost as you can hear him, "There hiding behind the debris." Zhu Yuan nodded and whispered quietly back, "Three, two, one." Then Kane plucks the string lightly to replicate a bangboo caught by it, and then the hollow raiders came out, Zhu Yuan shouted, "Officer Zhu Yuan, you all are under arrest!" The Hollow raiders jumped in surprise and fear. One of them bursted there voice, "Run!" Then all of them try to escape. Unfortunately, time has stopped. And you know what happened. While Jane's interrogation began Kane spoke to Zhu Yuan, "How is inspector Bringer going?" Yuan replied with a little bit of mumbling, "Yeah, about that." Kane sighs knowing what happened, "Tell you what, I'll tell you a secret Zhu Yuan, let me whisper in your ear." She tilts his her head and shrugs her shoulders, how worse can it be? As she listens to Kane, her eyes widen in surprise. She replayed what Kane whispered to her. Kane sighs in annoyance, "Well, he is gone now, but still. This is a secret between me and you." Kane sighs, "Well I'll be going to my office." he said with his regular neutral expression, continuing with a wave, "See you later Zhu Yuan." Zhu Yuan smiles slightly, "See you later Senior Kane." She said with a small hand waved back. Then Kane got a call from a cheerful man's voice and it said, "Hey Bro." Kane replied, "Kace. Did you stand up and give them the reason why you want to leave?" Kace replied, "Yep. I've left for too long after all. How is Ellen doing?" Kane answered, "Good. Just- she isn't feeling optimistic about you. You'll probably already know that." When Kane answered Kace, his tone was genuinely a little sad for his younger brother. Then Kace spoke through his phone with a sigh, "It's all my fault." He told Kane with genuine sadness. "I really wasn't a good parent to her after all. I understand her. I will make sure I spend enough time with her after I return." Kane sighs, "Well you better." He said with an eye roll. "Well Good afternoon and goodnight Kace." He said with a little smile on his face. "Yeah, you too bro." Kace spoke through the smartphone and the call ended.

Another morning for New Eridu. Kane was meeting up with Jane. "Well well well~. Nice to meet you back, Senior Kane." Jane said with her usual voice tone, long, a bit low maybe with a hint of mischief. "Yeah, you to Jane. Now, let's get into the point. What kind of information did you get during your interrogation with them?" Kane adds with a serious expression. "Ahem" Jane clears her throat. "Well according to them their gang are located in the hollow only 1 km away from the ballet twin towers. However, I feel like they are going to change locations, so I'll recommend that maybe you should go fast otherwise they might leave like mice who are about to get eaten." Jane spoke with her slightly low and mischievous tone. "Well since you don't have any work to do, come with me Jane." The rat thiren smiled, "I thought you'd never ask." She said with a sly smile. The two go to the hollow that the gang are located in. After getting out of the car, Kane looks up at the ballet twin towers. "The hollows are still there huh? I hope Lycaon is doing his best with his team to get rid of it. Although, it has shrunken quite a lot since I last saw it." he said with his white and gold police cap adjusted up. "Already a geezer huh?" Jane teased. "We are only 15 years apart in age Jane, it's also too early to call me 'old' yet." Kane spoke while eye rolling about Jane's comment. Jane laughed, Kane never knows how to take it as a joke. The two enter the hollow. "Be careful Jane, there might be a few max-threat level ethereals around." Kane said cautiously. Ethereals were coming out of the shadows. The monsters attack the two officers, but of course it was not even a challenge for the officers. As they were half way there, they could see the gang members all guarding the area. And you know what happened next.

Meanwhile, in the International hollow defense association in New York.

Commander Ryan knocks onto Kace's door. "Hero Kace." Kace opens the door in a mannerly way. "Oh, commander Ryan, why are you here? Do you want a cup of tea?" He said with a smile. Ryan looks left and right and sighs, "Are you going to really leave?" He says with a questioning face. "Yeah of course. I left too long- my daughter, everyone. It's been too long." Kace said with a sad sigh and with genuine sadness. Ryan sighs with a smile, "Very well have safe travels." The commander salutes the retired hero. Kace salutes back, and as the command leaves, he decided DM Ellen about his return. [Hey little shark, Its me, your father. Sorry for leaving you for a few years. Dad has been very busy destroying hollows in New York, now I can return back. You hate me don't you? So I ask you to give me a chance to spend the time like I never did, and you are almost getting graduated, I am proud. Thank you for waiting for me.] And he got a reply from her, his shark thiren daughter. [Dad, it's nice to hear from you. I don't hate you, but I can't deny the pain and loneliness we've felt while you were away. I still want to believe in you. I'm willing to give you a chance, but please understand that trust takes time to rebuild...]  Kace was glad, and replied, [Thanks Ellen. I'll make sure I'll spend time with you. And this time, I'll keep my promise that I'll always be there. I don't want to break another promise again from you.] Then Ellen replied, [I'm glad to hear that, Dad. Just know that words alone don't mean much. Actions speak louder. Show me that you've changed and keep your promise this time. And don't forget about Mom... I have a feeling she has some words to say to you too...] Kace replies again, [I will. See you back then. I am going to the airport now. Already packed my stuff.]

{Time: 4:00am, Hollow appears: location: unknown. Slowly expanding rapidly...}
