THIRD PERSON POV

The decision between change or remaining in a broken mindset is hard. It's a battle between your mind and you heart, the outcome is unpredictable.

But, the most she could do was at least be a decent person to the girl that showed any sort of care towards her besides business.

"Do you wanna know something, Jennie?"

"Mhm?" The brunette hummed.

"You're not all that bad as I thought." Lisa said as she glanced over to the girl.

"Should I take that as a compliment? Because?" Jennie chuckled.

"It is. You're.. Different from people. There's still that warm glow in your heart, hell, there's still a heart in the first place. This industry has a way of chewing you up and spitting you out as just bones and an alcoholic." Lisa mumbled.

"That's dark." Jennie pouted.

"Don't let anyone bring your spirits down. You have hope, you know exactly what you want for your future. There's a light inside you that dies out in alot of people but, you've still got it. Keep that light shining Jennie, I promise it'll take you places." Lisa muttered.

The brunette couldn't help but frow at Lisa when hearing her words. The Thai girl seemed so calm when talking, her doe eyes gave off a different twinkle than what she was accusomted to. Jennie wondered what changed in her, or when it even changed. It's been such a short amount of time and they've been becoming so comfortable with each other day by day.

Maybe they were figuring each other out by just being in the same space and it was interesting to see.

"That... That's actually sweet coming from you." Jennie said.

"Why do you say that?" Lisa questioned.

"Isn't it obvious?" The brunette asked.

"No. It's not. Do tell." Lisa mumbled again.

"Well, the first day we met you did call me a bitch." Jennie chuckled.

"Listen! I had just broken up with my girlfriend then." Lisa giggled.

"I get it. I really do. It's just... Interesting to see this side of you." Jennie mumbled.

"This side of me?" Lisa asked as if she had no clue what the girl was talking about.

"Yes. This side of you. The person who is actually opening up and talking about what she feels instead of slamming a door in people's faces. The person who isn't afraid to show her smile, the person who is being genuine right now and although we're at this dinner for a work assignment, I honestly just want to say it's been great to actually see you, Lisa. To see the real you." The brunette mumbled.

But, the only thing Lisa could focus on was that fact that Jennie said they were on a 'work assignment'.

She knew Ms Yoo had told them to talk to each other, find out their lives but it wasn't Lisa's intentions tonight. She used it as an excuse to see the girl because frankly, she couldn't get enough of her. But, she wasn't going to come clean about that anytime soon.

But it still stung a little.

"Oh yeah. Work assignment, sure. Damn, this bitch is slower than a turtle and snail combined." Lisa muttered under her breath.

"What was that?" Jennie asked.

"Oh, nothing. Don't worry about it."

"Hmm." Jennie hummed but, eyed the girl suspiciously.
