Chapter 3

The next 2 weeks of school went by really fast. It was Friday. I had talked to Grace a lot but not so much Andrew. I didn't really see him around.

I have heard some rumors that Andrew always gets into fist fights with people. Nathan and Andrew are enemies. They hate each other. I guess Andrew was dating this girl for a year. There was a huge party and the girl got drunk and Nathan and the girl got caught making out. Nathan wanted to get Andrew mad and get him back for stuff so he did that. Andrew really loved her because that happened a while ago and he hasn't dated a girl since.

I got interrupted by my thoughts when Grace came over.

"Hey Layla!" She said as she sat down at the desk next to mine.

"Hey what's up?" I said as I worked on a paper that our math teacher gave us. I loved math I get straight A's.

"Well... There's this party tonight, I'm not sure who's throwing it but I really really really want you to come!" She said doing the puppy face.

"Grace you know I don't like parties, I'd rather sit back in my room and pig out while watching Netflix." I said as I let out a chuckle.

"Please please please!" She asked with the cutest puppy dog eyes ever.

"Fine ugh." I said as I finished my paper.

"Yay thank you so much! I'll stop by your house so we can get ready and then we will go to the party." She as she got up.

I nodded in return. I got up from my desk and left the room. I was almost to my locker when I heard some voices in the bathroom. So I went over there to eavesdrop.

"So Kaitlyn, what's going on with you and Nathan. The girl said. I looked at Kaitlyn and of course being her slutty self she had a pink mini skirt on and a white tank top with her jugs showing. Well most of it.

"Jen ugh I don't know about him. I kind of want Andrew. Ugh he's so hot." She said as she applied mascara.

"I don't know Kaitlyn, he was with some girl and I saw him push her into a closet a few days ago." She said as she looked at Kaitlyn.

Sh*t. Crap. That girl in the closet was me. Sh*t!

"What girl?" Kaitlyn said as she whipped around.

"She's new and I think her name is Layla I think. I'm pretty sure she's coming to the party tonight." Jen said.

"Ugh if she gets in my way with Andrew or Nathan she's messing with the wrong girl." Kaitlyn said with an evil eye.

The girl looked kind of scared when Kaitlyn said that.

I walked to my locker and put my books in it. Then I walked out of the school. I walked home. I went inside and waited for Grace.

I heard the doorbell ring and ran downstairs. I whipped open the door and hugged Grace.

"Hey! Come meet my Aunt Karen." I said as I pulled her into the kitchen.

"Aunt Karen this is Grace!" I said as I pointed to her.

"So this is the Wonderful Grace! I'm there aunt but you can call me Karen! Make yourself at home." She said as she took Grace into a bear hug.

"Hi it's nice to meet you! And thank you!" Grace said.

"Okay well we will be upstairs and then we're going out later." I said as I walked up the stairs.

"Your aunt is awesome omg I love her already!" She said clapping her hands.

I smiled. "So where are your parents?" She asked.
