"Hey sweetie, do you want to bake cookies?" Mom said.

"Sure mommy!" I yelled.

We got out all of the ingredients and started to messer everything. We got the bag of flour out. Me being stupid. I got some on my hands and hid behind the counter to scare my mom.

She was about to pass me and jumped. "ROAR!" I yelled. *scream* she spilled. milk all over her. "Baby girl! You scared the living daylights out of me!" She said as she laughed.

I kept smiling and laughing. "Momma please don't ever leave me." I said.

"There comes a point in life when we leave this world. We go up and live our life baby. We can have all of the cookies and poptarts we want sweet one! But I won't leave anytime soon." She said. She planted a kiss on my cheek and hugged me.

I woke up with tears in my eyes. That was a great day. I still remember it like it was yesterday. I was 8 years old.

I checked the time and it was 3:34am. I had school today, but I couldn't fall asleep.

I can't sleep, meet me out by my balcony. -Layla

I went out to my balcony and waited for Andrew. "Hey." A deep voice said.

I turned around to see Andrew. "Hey I can't sleep." I said.

"Why are you crying?" He said.

"I had a dream of my parents." I said. A tee rolled down my face. He hopped off of his balcony and onto mine. He engulfed me into a warm hug.

"Layla, things happen in life. God gave you this life because he knew you can handle it. He loves you so much. So do your parents." He said as he rubbed my back.

We sat down on the balcony and I laid right in the middle of him with my head on his stomach. I fell asleep right there.

I woke up with someone yelling my name. "LAYLA!" The voice yelled. I turned around to see Andrew asleep. Aw he looks so adorable when he sleeps. I realized that, that was my aunt. I could hear footsteps.

"Andrew!" I yelled. He woke up and yawned. "Hurry go back to your room my aunt is coming!" I yelled. He got up helped me up and he went in his room and I hopped in mine.

"Layla you're going to be late for school!" She yelled.

I nodded and she left. I got into my drawer and I took out whatever I could find. I took out a pair of white shorts that I totally regret putting on because I don't like shorts. I then put on a black sweatshirt. I put on black long socks on a little over my ankle bone and white vans. I'll be hot today. It was the beginning of September.

I grabbed my phone and put it in my pocket and ran downstairs I didn't bother getting breakfast. "Love you!" I yelled. I grabbed my backpack and slammed the door.

I basically sprinted to school and was out of breath and could barely breath. Geez I need to join a sport.

The bell rang and I sprinted to class. "I'm here!" I yelled as I entered the classroom. Crap why did I just say that.

"Detention Mrs.Winston!" My algebra teacher yelled. What?! I knew she always hated me.

"What?! But I-" I stared to say. "No buts missy or I'll give you a second detention." She said. Ugh I hate her.

"B*tch" I I murmured. "What did you just say?" She said. Did I just say that?

"Nothing." I said. I sat down at my seat and listened to her boring speech.
