While Y/N and the (Hu)Mane 6 were having fun at the Fall Formal at Canterlot High, something else was happening at the same time in another part of Canterlot City.
In a small diner, the patrons inside are arguing while being oblivious to an eerie green mist as the sound of melodic singing is heard from a corner booth where three mysterious hooded figures are sitting absorbing the mist into their red ruby pendants around their necks.
The three figures stop their tune and two of them put their hoods down showing their faces.

Aria Blaze: *sighs* That was barely worth the effort, Adagio. I'm tired of fast food. I need a meal.
She said as the girl sitting across the other side of the table removes her hood and shows her face.

Adagio Dazzle: The energy in this world isn't the same as in Equestria. We can only gain so much power here.
Aria Blaze: Ugh! I wish we'd never been banished to this awful place!

Adagio Dazzle: Ergh! I'll tell you one thing, being stuck here with you two isn't making this world any more... *through clenched teeth* bearable.
Just then, a large column of light appears from behind the mountains which caught the Adagio's attention. Her eyes widened as she rushed out of the diner to get a better look at it with the other two following close behind her.
Adagio Dazzle: (Is that... It can't be!)
The three girls look to see a spiraling rainbow in the sky which then ignites and fires a rainbow wave which hits something and creates a rainbow pillar. The rainbow light soon disappeared as Adagio's pendant shimmers to which she notices.
