The door slammed loudly and I jumped, closing my eyes. More tears threatened to spill out from my eyes but I held them back, biting my lip.

When I heard my bedroom door creek, I opened my eyes. Thomas was standing there, pity shinning in his eyes and a frown on his face.
My lips trembled slightly and Thomas walked towards me, embracing me in his arms.

He held me for a moment before pushing me back, just enough to see my face.
"I think I've officially declared this day 'Bella Cry's A River Day'." Thomas says sarcastically. I chuckle at his attempt of comedy and shove him playfully, pouting and rubbing at my eyes.

"This sucks." I sigh and walk over to pick up the mess on my floor.
I'm stopped my Thomas and he turns me around to face him. I put my head down and stare at my feet.
"Look at me Arabella." He tilts my head up towards him and smirks. "We'll clean that up later. Right now, you're going to go out and have some fun."
I hesitate to answer so Thomas picks me up over his shoulder.
"Thomas! Put-me-down!" I say in between laughter. He just chuckles and walks out of my bedroom, carrying me down the stairs.
When we read the front door, he set me down gently.
"Here," Thomas hands me the keys, "you can drive."
I put my hands on my hips and cock my hip to the side.
"Is that permission? Or do you just not want to do it."

Thomas looks up as if to think them shrugs.
"I just don't want to."
I roll my eyes but still take the keys, opening the front door. Thomas closes it behind us and we climb into his car.

I turn the key and it hums to life.
"So, where to?" I ask, pulling out of the driveway.
"Just fallow my directions." He answers, and I let Thomas lead the way.

---

"Alright, now turn left here. Guh I said left not right. Dammit your other left."
Thomas is literally on my last nerve. I have over 7 million of them and he happens to be on the last one.
"Your the one who said they didn't want to drive. So shut up!" I shoot back. The whole way here, wherever here is, Thomas had been complaining about how I drive. It's not completely my fault. I get it from my mother.
"Okay, now, turn right here." He puts emphasis on 'right'.
I do as I'm told and turn into a long drive way.
"Where exactly are we?" I ask, looking at our surroundings. Tall trees cover the road like a bridge, giving it an eerie feeling. The moonlight shone just past the smaller trees, illuminating the road ahead.

After a few more minutes of driving, a small house came into few. I was scared. Not because the house was creepy or not even because of the fact it was only the middle of the woods, but because there were people here. Humans. I could smell them. And I could smell alcohol, lots of it.
"What is this place." I whisper, thinking they could hear me, but knowing they can't.
"My special place." He says back, much louder than myself.
I flinch and grip the wheel tighter.
"Loosen up Bella. Not all of them can smell fear." He winks and wen I stop the car, climbs out, coming over to my door. When he opens it, I pull him down near me.
"Not all of them?" I repeat and he chuckles. Thomas steps away from me and starts to walk towards the house. I parked farther away so we had some walking to do.
I caught up to him and latched onto his arm.
The closer we got to the house, more smells that we're unfamiliar to me, wafted through the air.
"What's that smell?" I ask, scrunching up my nose. It was strong but smelt something like sea breeze.
"That, my dear sister, is the smell of witches."
I stopped in my tracks and froze. I mustn't of heard him right.
"I'm sorry, what?" I furrow my brows together and grip Thomas's arm tightly.
"Um, Bella, you're crushing my arm." I look down at my hand and see my nails digging into his skin. I release him and he lets out a breath.
"Thanks." I wait for an answer but he doesn't say anything, instead, we stare at each other for a while.
"Why are you staring at me?" He asks, looking at me like I'm crazy. I roll my eyes and frown.
"Are you kidding me. I asked you a question dim whit."
"Oh. Well I didn't hear it so ask again."

I sigh and can't help but smile a little.
"You mentioned something about..." I trail off.
Thomas smirks.
"Witches?" He smiles when I nod and starts to walk again.
"Wait! You're kidding me, right?" I ask, jogging to his side.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night. Though I don't understand why this is such news to you. I mean, you are a werewolf." I gulp and we continue walking closer and closer to the house, when another scent hits me.
It's sweet like vanilla and pine cones. Wait. I know that smell.
"What about that one?" I ask, curious as to why I would smell that here.
"That, sister, is the Shadow Shifters."

My mind goes spinning off into so many thoughts it gives me a pounding headache. I stop once again and try and think.
"That can't be right." I say to Thomas who has turned to look at me.
"Why not? You think I'm lying?" He questions me and squints his eyes. I stumble back slightly and then shake my head.
"Because, it doesn't make sense."
"No Bella, you don't make any sense." Thomas frowns and grabs ahold of my arm.
"What's going on with you Bella?"
"I know that smell." I whisper. Thomas looks at me with weary eyes.
"What the hell are you talking about."

I would know that smell anywhere. How could I forget?

All I can manage to say is...

The front door to the house opens and out comes a smirking Aiden.
