Chapter Twenty-Eight

---------------Danny POV--------

I drove Gma back to the airport. It was 2 in the morning. Annon had called and said there was an emergency.

"I'm sorry Danny. Tell Jennifer I said Happy Birthday."

"Yes ma'am. Call us when you get home." She got out of the car and I watched her walk inside. I drove back home and fell asleep next to Jenn when I got there.

When I woke up, Jenn was still asleep. It was 10:30 in the morning. I got out of bed quietly and went downstairs. I fixed toast withouth cereal, keeping it light since we were going out in a few hours. Two pieces of toast with butter. I had just finished making her tea when she came downstairs. Damn, she looked good. Her hair was ruffled and she was in a baggy shirt. One of her own for once.

"Morning." She ran her fingers through her hair yawning.

"Happy birthday love." She smiled and sat down. I put her food in front of her and fixed myself a glass of tea.

"Get dressed when your finished, we've got things to do."

"Can't we stay in? It is my birthday." She flashed me a grin and I almost gave in.

"No can do love. Eat."

"Where's Gma?"

"She had to head home early this morning. Family emergency. I told her to call us when she was home and rested."

"Okay." She started eating and I went upstairs picking her outfit. Which was not something I did often. And I knew she was going to be mad at me, I'd spent money on her. "Yes, I spent money on you. No, I will not tell you how much. Get in the shower." She just shook her head at me. She went and got a shower and then came out and changed. I smiled at how gorgeous she looked.

"What are you smiling at?"

"You are so fucking beautiful." She blushed and I kissed her forehead. I changed and we headed out the door.

"So. Are you going to tell me where we're going today?"

"Well if you must know. I rented out a restaurant and invited your friends and family to come celebrate."

"Did you call my mom?"

"Yes. BUT, she didn't answer." Jenn and her mom didn't get along at all. Jenn's mom was some huge bible thumper and she always critized Jenn. And when she found out we were together, she flipped her shit. They hadn't talked since.

"My dad?"

"He said he'd try to make it. Your stepmom too." They were both out here doing business.

"They said they'd bring Shain and Zack if they could come."

"Okay." I looked at her and she smiled at me. I pulled off to the side and put eye patches on her eyes. She giggled and I pulled back out onto the road. We were there in five minutes. I had rented out one of Jenn's favorite Mexican Restaurants, Los Cos. I opened her door and I walked her to the inside. Everyone was there, including her dad and his three. I took the eye pathes off her eyes and everyone yelled.

"SURPRISE!"

"Danny Robert Worsnop, I love you." She ran into the crowd and hugged her dad. She messed with her younger brothers and then hugged her step mom. She came back this way with her dad.

"Daddy, this is Danny Worsnop. Danny, this is my dad, Mike."

"Pleased to meet you." We shook hands and he went back to his wife.

"JENNIFER NICOLE!! WHAT IS ON YOUR FINGER!!" She turned to Jarvia and grinned.

"JARVIA LYNN!! IF YOU MUST KNOW, THIS IS AN ENGAGEMENT RING!!"

"A WHAT?!?" I watched all the color drain from her face and she turned slowly. I followed her gaze to a lady and three men standing in the doorway. Jenn was the spitting image of the lady and I knew instantly who it was.

"Hi mom."
