36 | Familial Memories

You rushed downstairs after being far too interested in a dream and went down to the flower shop before stopping, seeing Gojo pressing his face against the glass door.

You opened it, your eyes wide with confusion. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to pick you up! I'm going to school, you're going to school, Megumi's going to school, it just makes sense!"

You peered around him, spotting Megumi in the car. "Okay..."

Gojo guided you to the passenger seat and opened the door for you, gaining Megumi's attention.

You sat down and waved and he waved back and that was all the communication the two of you partook in before you faced out the window.

"You should learn sign, Megumi," Gojo encouraged as he started the car.

Megumi wanted to ask why but recalled how often Tsumiki had your name on her lips every time she did anything.

"Y/N taught me this."

"That's not how Y/N does it."

"Y/N loves these!"

He hummed and glanced at you. You felt his gaze and turned before grinning at him and he felt that tug in him once again, like he knew you from somewhere.

"...Maybe."

Megumi had been to many elite schools before and he knew for a fact that it was not normal for people's eyes to be on a singular person the moment they walked through the gates.

You didn't pay much mind to the attention with your eyes on your phone, trying to find your friends, but Megumi watched gazed fix on you, heard murmurs circle in the air.

"What's everyone's deal?" Megumi questioned as Gojo matched his pace.

"Oh, nothing, just the fact that she fought the richest man in all of Japan last year."

"What?"

"You heard me."

You spotted a panda head in the crowd and turned to wave to him before running off.

Megumi stared at the gap you left in the crowd as you ran through it and hummed.

"Wanna learn sign now?" Gojo asked.

"Maybe... just a bit."

He had wondered why Tsumiki had spoken about you as if you had moulded the stars and hung them, but now he found himself trying to learn about you as one would crack open a book to figure out the meaning of the title.

You took Panda's arm and he yelped before facing you and letting out a sigh of relief. "You have no idea how many first years' parents have tried to take a picture with me thinking I was the school mascot."

You grinned. "Maybe they thought you were cute."

Panda rolled his eyes (although you couldn't see it) and he pulled you through the crowd towards the back of the school, where Toge, Maki, and Yuta were waiting.
