The day had finally come when Jungkook gave birth to their second child—a beautiful baby girl. The entire palace buzzed with excitement as everyone awaited the news. Haneul, now a curious and mischievous toddler, was pacing back and forth in the hallway outside the chamber with Taehyung, who looked equally nervous but tried to maintain a composed front.
When the midwife finally stepped out, she announced with a warm smile, “Congratulations, Your Majesty. It’s a healthy baby girl!”
Taehyung let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding. He picked up Haneul, who was already wiggling in his arms to get a peek. “Is Mommy okay? Can we see her?”
“Yes, they’re both fine. Go on in,” the midwife replied.
Taehyung entered the room to find Jungkook lying on the bed, cradling their newborn. His face glowed with exhaustion and joy. The baby, wrapped snugly in soft pink blankets, had a shock of dark hair and the tiniest fingers Taehyung had ever seen.
“She’s beautiful,” Taehyung whispered, sitting beside Jungkook and gazing at their daughter.
Jungkook smiled, his eyes misty. “She looks just like you.”
Haneul wiggled out of Taehyung’s arms and climbed onto the bed, staring wide-eyed at his baby sister. “She’s so small!”
“That’s because she’s a baby,” Jungkook chuckled softly.
Haneul leaned closer, his little finger gently touching her hand. “What’s her name, Mommy?”
Jungkook glanced at Taehyung, who nodded. Together, they said, “Kim Soojin.”
As they admired Soojin, something extraordinary happened. The royal pin, long thought to have disappeared, began to glow faintly in the corner of the room. The light was warm and golden, casting a divine aura that caught everyone’s attention.
“What… is that?” Jungkook asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Taehyung stood, walking toward the light. The pin floated for a moment before it dissolved into shimmering particles, disappearing completely.
“The pin’s power…” Taehyung murmured, turning back to Jungkook. “It must have passed on to Soojin. She’s the one it was waiting for.”
Jungkook looked down at their daughter in awe. “She’s going to be even more powerful than her brother.”
Haneul, who had been watching with wide eyes, puffed out his chest. “I’ll protect her, Mommy! Even if she’s super strong!”
Jungkook and Taehyung laughed, their hearts swelling with pride.
Raising a newborn while managing Haneul’s antics was no small feat, but Taehyung and Jungkook embraced the chaos with love and humor.
One morning, Taehyung walked into the nursery to find Haneul trying to “teach” Soojin how to walk, even though she was barely a few weeks old.
“Haneul,” Taehyung said, stifling a laugh. “She’s too little to walk right now.”
“But she needs to learn!” Haneul insisted, holding her tiny hands in his. “She’s gonna be strong like me, right, Appa?”
Taehyung knelt beside him, ruffling his hair. “She will, but for now, let’s let her grow at her own pace, okay?”
Haneul pouted but eventually agreed, sitting down to play with his toys while Taehyung gently rocked Soojin in his arms.
Jungkook’s second pregnancy brought even more intense cravings and mood swings. One evening, he demanded mangoes out of season, sending Taehyung into a frenzy trying to procure them.
By the time Taehyung returned, covered in dust from his travels, Jungkook had fallen asleep, cradling Haneul on the couch. Taehyung sighed but couldn’t help smiling.
“You’re lucky I love you,” he whispered, placing the mangoes on the table and draping a blanket over them.
Despite the challenges, their family grew closer with each passing day. Soojin brought a new kind of light into their lives, and Haneul quickly took to his role as a protective big brother.
One evening, as they all lay together on the bed—Taehyung, Jungkook, Haneul, and baby Soojin—Taehyung couldn’t help but feel a profound sense of gratitude.
“This,” he said, pulling them all close, “is everything I could ever want.”
Jungkook smiled, resting his head on Taehyung’s shoulder. “We’re only getting started.”
And with that, their story of love, family, and unbreakable bonds continued, filled with warmth, laughter, and the promise of a bright future.
