The grand hall of the palace was decorated in soft pastel hues, filled with golden lanterns and delicate floral arrangements to celebrate the first birthday of the kingdom's most beloved baby—Kim Haneul. The royal family had invited close friends, nobles, and family members to mark the occasion.

Haneul sat at the center of attention, perched on a throne-like high chair, wearing an adorable silk hanbok in shades of lavender and gold. His tiny crown shimmered in the sunlight, and his chubby cheeks made everyone coo with adoration.

Jungkook, now a doting parent, couldn’t stop fussing over his baby. “Haneul, smile for mommy!” he cooed, waving a small golden rattle in front of the baby.

Taehyung stood beside them, a proud and protective father, his hand resting gently on Jungkook’s shoulder. “He’s already stealing the spotlight,” Taehyung said with a grin.

“Of course, he is,” Jungkook replied, puffing out his chest. “He’s my son, after all.”

The highlight of the celebration was the doljabi ceremony, where Haneul would choose an item from a tray, symbolizing his future. The tray was prepared with traditional objects: a calligraphy brush for wisdom, a gold coin for wealth, a bow for strength, and a tiny book for knowledge.

Everyone gathered around, holding their breath as Haneul eyed the items curiously.

“What do you think he’ll pick?” Jungkook whispered nervously.

“Strength, obviously,” Taehyung said confidently.

“No way! He’s going for wisdom,” Jungkook argued.

Haneul reached out, his tiny fingers hovering over the objects. He grabbed the brush first but then quickly let it go, grabbing the gold coin with a firm grip. The room erupted into laughter and cheers.

“Looks like we have a future king who knows the value of wealth!” Jungkook said, beaming with pride.

Taehyung laughed. “Or he just likes shiny things.”

As the celebration continued, it was time to cut the massive birthday cake. The five-tier masterpiece was decorated with intricate designs of stars and clouds to honor Haneul’s name, which meant "sky."

Just as Taehyung lifted Haneul to blow out the single candle, the baby smacked his tiny hand into the frosting, smearing it everywhere.

“Haneul!” Jungkook gasped, half-laughing, half-panicked as the baby shoved a handful of cake into his mouth.

“He takes after you,” Taehyung teased, wiping frosting off his sleeve.

“Oh, please,” Jungkook retorted, trying to clean Haneul’s sticky face. “This is definitely your influence.”

The guests laughed as Haneul giggled innocently, completely unaware of the chaos he had caused.

As the evening came to a close, something extraordinary happened. The royal pin, long thought to have disappeared into thin air on Haneul’s birth, reappeared momentarily in the air above him. It glowed brightly before dissolving into a shower of golden sparkles that rained down on Haneul.

Gasps filled the room, and even Taehyung and Jungkook were stunned.

“What… what does this mean?” Jungkook asked, holding Haneul tightly.

An elder stepped forward, his voice reverent. “It means that Prince Haneul’s destiny is tied to something far greater than we can imagine. The pin acknowledges him as a true heir of power.”

Taehyung and Jungkook exchanged glances, a mix of pride and worry in their eyes.

Later that night, after the celebration had ended, the little family sat together in their private chambers. Haneul had finally fallen asleep in Jungkook’s arms, his tiny hands clutching a soft blanket.

Taehyung leaned over and kissed Jungkook’s temple. “He’s perfect, isn’t he?”

Jungkook smiled, gazing at their son. “More than perfect. He’s our everything.”

Taehyung wrapped an arm around Jungkook, pulling him close. “No matter what challenges come, we’ll face them together. For him.”

Jungkook rested his head on Taehyung’s shoulder, feeling a sense of peace. “Together.”

As the moonlight bathed the room in its gentle glow, the family of three drifted into a quiet, blissful night, ready to face whatever the future held.
