As Rishi stepped back into the mansion, closely followed by D'Souza, his hands instinctively delved into his pocket, his fingers wrapping around the envelope as if it were a lifeline. He couldn't wait to examine its contents, to unravel the secrets that lay hidden within. The weight of the envelope seemed to burn a hole in his pocket, a constant reminder of the mystery that awaited him.

As they entered the grand foyer of the mansion, D'Souza turned to Abhay, his voice low and serious. "Hospital ja rha hu... I'll keep you updated." Abhay nodded, his expression a mask of calm concern, as D'Souza departed, leaving the two men alone.

Abhay's gaze turned to Rishi, his eyes narrowing slightly as he spoke in a calm yet authoritative tone. "How old are you, Rishabh Kapoor?" The question seemed innocuous enough, but Rishi sensed a hint of reprimand lurking beneath the surface.

Rishi attempted to brush off the question with a nonchalant smile, but Abhay's piercing gaze saw right through him. "Well, just 3 months older than you," Rishi replied, trying to sound confident, but his voice faltered under Abhay's intense scrutiny.

Abhay's expression remained unreadable, but his words cut deep. "Then learn to behave like one. You keep lecturing Abhi and Ruhi about security, and you yourself dodge them. What will they learn from you?" The rebuke stung, and Rishi felt a flush rise to his cheeks.

"Aree Abhay, I was out for just 10 minutes... itna toh chal..." Rishi protested, trying to downplay the severity of his actions, but Abhay's response was swift and decisive.

"Nahi chalta... I got it," Rishi said in defeat, he gulped, the sound echoing through the silence like a reprimand....

Abhay took a deep breath, his chest rising and falling with a slow, deliberate movement, as he struggled to compose himself before speaking. His voice, when it finally emerged, was laced with a mix of concern and frustration. "I know I'm overreacting... but at least tu toh smjh mujhe... it's not at all safe... we need to be cautious... that man... he targeted our kids for his animosity... kuch ho jaata unhe toh..." The words hung in the air, a poignant reminder of the fear that had taken up residence in their hearts.

Rishi's eyes locked onto Abhay's, and he could see the turmoil brewing beneath the surface. He understood that Abhay's anger and frustration were not just about his own actions, but about the vulnerability of their family, the fear that had been lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce. Rishi felt a pang of guilt for his earlier carelessness, and he took a step forward, his arms opening wide as he enveloped Abhay in a warm hug. "I'm sorry... ab aisi idiot wali harkat nhi karunga," he whispered, his voice filled with remorse.

As they hugged, the tension in Abhay's body began to dissipate, replaced by a sense of calm and reassurance. He nodded, his eyes still closed, as Rishi stepped away, a small smile on his face. But before they could say anything more, they heard Ruhi's concerned voice pierced the air, "Abhi sun toh..." They looked up to see Abhi descending the stairs, with the help of railing support...his eyes fixed on them with a determined glint.

Abhay and Rishi exchanged a concerned glance before walking towards Abhi, their footsteps echoing through the silence. For a fleeting moment, Abhay's eyes met Ruhi's, and he felt a jolt of emotion, but he quickly looked away, his expression neutral.
