I stood in the elevator as I rode up to the 12 floor of the building. The elevator pinged, as the old grey doors opened to a balcony area at the top of the building. I stood out, and the cold wind and sun slapped my face. The area was deserted, and I was the only one there. I walked over to the balcony, looking across the city. It was alive with people rushing around and cars driving full speed. I sighed. I just had to wait.

And eventually he came.

"Alex, what are you doing here?" Jeff said behind me. I turned around to face him. His skin looked ghostly white in the sunlight and his hoodie bloodier than ever.
"Why do you think I'm here Jeff? To have a good time? To enjoy the scenery?" I said sarcastically, anger rising inside me.
"Look Alex. Please let me explain." His eyes where pleading. I didn't have time for this. I turned back around, looking towards the horizon.
"I don't want to hear your bullshit. I don't care." I said calmly. I leaned into the railing. Jeff came and stood beside me, looking down into the streets.

That's what he's supposed to do.

"Alex, I'm sorry. It wasn't anything special between me and him. It was only once. Please forgive me." He begged. I sighed and turned away from him.
"I don't care. Just leave okay?" I said in a monotone voice. Yet he didn't leave. He stayed standing beside me.
"Alex, I love you, and you know I would never hurt you." He said, wrapping his arms around my waist. I didn't push him off me, but I didn't hug him back. "Please forgive me. Please." He begged, his eyes pleading with mine. I nodded slowly. He hugged me tighter. I knew what I had to do know.

I brought my knee up and it collided with his junk. He groaned loudly and his knees buckled. His hands went to protect the area I kicked. I swung my arm fast and my fist collided with his jaw. He sprawled across the cement. I unzipped his hoodie and grabbed his sharp knife, throwing it over the ledge without hesitation. Jeff looked at me in shock. I smirked at him.
"You really think I would take you back, huh?" I said. Tears started to form in his eyes.
"What are you doing, Alex?" He whimpered. I smiled down at him.
"I'm just giving you a taste of your own medicine." I said. I put my arm out to help him up from the ground, and he stood in front of me, swaying with the wind. He was dangerously close the the edge, his back leaning against the thin railings.
"It's time you left, Jeff." I said, pushing him. He tried to fight back, but my grip tightened so he couldn't get away from my grasp. I pushed him roughly and he fell over the railings, down into the busy street.

That was the end of Jeff the Killer.

I was glad he was out of my life, yet I felt a pang of guilt in my chest. I killed a man. I was a killer, a murderer. I lay on the cold cement, exhausted. I quickly stood back up rode down the elevator, down to the ground floor. I quickly got out of the busy streets and walked up the hill. I unlocked the door and stepped into the warm house. I felt surprisingly calm. I jamp onto the couch, my eyes feeling weary. I walked up the stairs and lay on my bed, closing my eyes. At least I could sleep peacefully tonight.
