"I DON'T UNDERSTAND . I don't know any Ethan. Umm. . . I don't remember any of you," Claire stutters as she observes everyone surrounding, "I don't remember any of this."

Behind me, Charlie bends down, eyes fixated upon the blonde. "What do you remember?"

Claire closes her eyes for a second, trying to recall her memory. "Umm. . . I — I was on a plane, um, flying to L. A. from Sydney."

"Claire. . ." Jack trails off, "We were all on that plane. It crashed here, on this island. That was almost a month ago."

A panic alerts her and she looks down at her stomach. "No! I'm due—"

"— Your baby's fine. He's kicking," Jack assures, "Everything's normal, okay?"

Claire's breathing grows more ragged. "Well, if it's been a month, why hasn't somebody come to get us?" She asks.

It seems that nobody really knows how to answer that particular question. The plane changed course without notifying anyone, which means that no one knows where we are; they have no clue of where to look for us. Since I notice that nobody wants to take the word, I decide to take one for the team as I gently grab Claire's hand. Expecting her to pull away, I'm surprised to feel her clasping to my hand.

"We don't know," I mumble with a comforting smile.

LOCKE, JACK, SAYID, Charlie, and myself are gathered in a circle on the beach. The waves crash into each other as we converse about the Claire issue.

"The girl is pregnant," Sayid begins, "Very pregnant. Are we supposed to believe that she escaped from him?"

"What're you getting at?" Says Charlie, while touching his chin with his fingertips.

"Ethan infiltrated us. Whoever he is and wherever he comes from, he's intelligent," Sayid reminds us, "Who's to say he didn't send Claire."

This sends Charlie over the edge and he raises his voice, "You're off your head, mate."

"Charlie. Calm down," Jack cuts in before shifting his attention to Sayid, "That's a stretch, Sayid."

"Then tell me, Doctor, how many times have you diagnosed actual amnesia?" Sayid challenges, "And such a selective brand of it?"

"Okay. It's rare," Jack admits, "But she's been through a major trauma. It is possible that her memory reset to the crash."

Locke speaks up for the first time, opposing an opportunity, "And the chances of that memory returning?"
