Lily
There was a man who was merely about in his early-twenties. It was Elijah, the brother I saw Klaus dagger. I thought that if you were daggered, you'd be asleep and it clearly seems like Klaus wasn't expecting Elijah. At first Klaus was uncomfortably shocked but after a second or so, he was back into being the sadist Klaus that everyone knew.

"Well..well!!" He plastered his hands together. "What a pleasant surprise to have you back brother."

"Well Nik, considering the fact that you were the one that daggered me, I'm surprise to see you this compassionate and all."

Klaus wasn't at all surprised by Elijah's comment. He kept his usual smirk and went on making his cup of coffee.

"Well come on love, we don't want you being late on your first day of school do we?"

I grabbed a few granola bar and went out the door without giving Klaus an answer. I was heading to school. School in New Orleans was horrible. I didn't make any friends nor did the teachers were friendly. The days couldn't feel worse.

The day went by before I was able to go home. I was going to get picked up by Klaus and we'd go home silently.

Surprisingly, it was Elijah who picked me up. Elijah had never actually seen me in person partly because the first time I saw him was when Klaus daggered him and he was being daggered so not necessarily time for new introductions. The car ride was silent. Elijah wasn't much of a talker either. We had a few conversations but it was awkward.

"Klaus is busy at home. I hope you don't mind me picking you up instead of him."

"Not at all."

"I take it we haven't been formally introduced. I'm Elijah Mikaelson, it's a pleasure meeting you Lily, I presume."

"Um. Yeah. Lily Gilbert."

The whole ride back was silent and there was nothing to be discussed about. Elijah turned the music volume higher to avoid the silence surrounding us. I pursed my lips before feeling a shiver running down my spine. I realised how cold the air conditioner was in the car.

I rubbed my arms against the palm of my hands to create heat. The car was too cold for my liking. It was shivering in here. My hands reached in the air conditioner controller but Elijah beat me to it. Our hands collided and his soft mellow fingers interlocked against mine. I pulled my hands back immediately but still managed to catch Elijah's brown eyes.

"Are you cold?" His voice was soft but at the same time concerned.

"Umm yeah. Just a little bit."

He didn't say anything back but began to take off his coat handing it to me. "Here take this."

"No. It's fine. I think I'll manage." I giggled.

Elijah didn't find this amusing apparently. He kept a straight face and said, "No I insist."

"Alright. Thank you."

I slid my hands into his coat, feeling warmer. I took a whiff letting his scent fill my breath. After knowing I have wore his coat, he immediately looked away.

His eyes was looking into the road. I bit my lips, trying to avoid the awkward atmosphere to get on my nerves. Then, a phone call from Klaus rang.

"Hello, where are you love?"

"Umm. We're close." My voice was still squirmy but it adjusted to normal later on.

"Alright. Well hurry up."

"Okay." I hung up.

Elijah did not look at me the rest of the journey home but continued driving. This might be just one of the most awkward days of all times.

When we reached the Mikaelson's household, I walked directly to the house without saying a word. It was awkward enough that I had to face Elijah but Klaus too. So many thoughts were running through my head. I just wished I could be back to Mystic Falls.

I was greeted by Klaus at the door. "So how's school?"

"I'm not in the mood Klaus."

"What happened to her?" Klaus joked to Elijah.

Elijah kept quiet obviously knowing I was still there. The level of complication was quite high and I was so not up for this.

A long hot bath would surely fix all of this. I grabbed my devoured strawberry flavoured bubble soap and poured it in the tub while the water was running.

This was such a long day. I'll be counting the day until I'm reunited back with my family. For good this time. No one can ever tear us apart from each other.

My bathe did not last that long because I heard a creak shortly after. The sound was soft but I knew someone was in my room.

"Who's there?!"

I didn't hear a response after that. There was a dead silence. Everything happened so fast and before I could comprehend what has happened, a shadow behind me popped out of the
blue. It disappeared after a second and my heart was racing.

Suddenly, my head was pushed into the tub. I struggled to push my head up for air but no matter what, there was a hand that kept me underwater. My moved my arms and legs but it was useless.

My lungs burned for more air and even though I knew what could happen, I took a breath. My lungs were filled with cold water and my blood pounded behind my eyes.

I began to feel weaker and weaker by the seconds. Then, the darkness engulfed me and my world began to fade to black.
