If I could feel

"I can't believe I'm acting like this, I'm so nervous!" Gnawing on my lip Dylan chuckles putting the finishing touches of make-up on me.

Alessandro took me up on that offer for a date, like 20 years later. Ok so it's been like a week but it feels longer than that.

We haven't seen much of each other due to his running a pack, and I guess I've kinda been avoiding him.

I like him and all but this being claimed thing is starting to get to me. All I think about is him.

It's annoying.

"Luna, relax. This is no different than any other day. Except you know you guys haven't seen each other in awhile so who knows what will happen." She wiggles her eyebrows suggestively at me.

We giggle like two little girls just enjoying each others company. I'm so glad there is another woman in this house. It's unfortunate how she got here but I love that she's become my closest friend.

"It's still weird though, do you know where he's taking me?"

She smiles shaking her head no. I don't believe that for a second, she has to know.

"C'mon if you tell me I'll still act surprised when I get there!" I beg.

Dylan giggles just about to tell me but Nathaniel bursts through the door. His usual cheery self shuffling to give me the once over.

"No way you're making it out of this date and not getting laid."

My jaw drops at his nonchalance, quickly recovering I grab his arm leaving the room.

"Have a nice time Luna." Dylan calls gently.

I gulp as we near the back door. "Nervous?" Nathaniel asks.

I nod.

"Don't be, I've never seen Alpha Alessandro so head over heels for one girl. And he's been through many girls...many and-"

"Okay I get it shut up already." I snap crossing my arms. He is not helping Alessandro's case right now in swaying me. Like seriously who raised him? The kid has no filter.

"Just making small talk." He mumbles.

"Well don't, you suck at it."

I hear the soft chuckle of my mate as he seems to appear out of thin air carrying a small box in his hand.

Oh God please don't be what I think it is.

"What's that?" Pointing to the box he grabs my hand kissing it.

"Yes nice to see you too princess. It's been awhile."

"Okay but what is that?"

"This." He hands over the velvet box. "Is for you."

Opening it my heart drops at the gorgeous necklace inside. A diamond encrusted wolf pendant on a gold chain. Beautiful.

"Do you like it?" He asks putting it around my neck.

"It's beautiful."

He smiles extending his hand for me to take. We walk for a little while down a gravel path. When we reach the end there's a lake in the clearing.

The sun's reflection dances on the surface of the gentle waves. It's a calming place to be.

"This is where I come to relax."

"So if we get in an argument I can expect to find you here?" I joke nudging his shoulder.

"Please." He scoffs. "If we get in an argument the end result will be the bedroom."
