The bright stage light shines in my face. The crowd cheering helps to push the nerves to the back of my mind.
"I just can't get you outta my head, boy your love is all I think about."

I sing the first line smoothe and sultry, the crowd turning to putty.

When I'm on stage it's just me and my music. Singing has always been my passion. I started this business because I'm a great musician so why not solicit my talents to everyone.

When my set concludes at this private event I take my money from a man in a tuxedo. "Thank you."

"My pleasure, Alessandro sends his regards." The man bends down kissing my hand.

"Ok." I say awkwardly wiping his kiss on the back of my skirt when I turn to leave.

This whole place is full of wolves, They all have crazy eye colors; that's how you know a wolf when you see one. They've pretty much over our city.

A few major cities through out the country really. Living in huge Mansions, claiming territories, it's like a dictatorship. Atleast here it is, the man I'm performing for-Alessandro who no one has ever seen- rules over this city.

He's our unofficial King, no one has the guts to tell him he's not. Even if we've never seen him we all know what he's capable of doing.

Every political figure, all law enforcement, work under him.

As I make my way out of the ballroom shoving the money in my clutch, a low growl startles me.

Whipping around to see where the sound came from I don't see anything or anyone.

"Get off of me she's the one!" It growls.

"No Master you can't do this not tonight." A calm voice cooes.

"I have to have her did you hear her song it was meant for me, she was calling for me." The other voice barks.

"Alessandro you can't go like this you'll scare her before you even-

"I don't care! I want that girl now!" He shouts.

"Quick give him the sedative!"

A struggle ensues, glass shatters and an inhumane growl leaves me quivering but for whatever reason I race to the source of the sound.

Down the hallway I race to a door ajar. Quietly I open it to a truly horrifying scene. A man, half man, half wolf thrashes against his oppressors who look truly sorry for what they're doing.

I can't scream or move too shocked at what my eyes are looking at. Not what he looks like but how these men are treating him.

"St-stop!" I finally gasp throwing myself in the way of this man. "Don't hurt him."

Both parties freeze staring me down. Right before my eyes the man being beaten turns all human.

He's very handsome and slender with his hair in a disheveled bun. His piercing red eyes bore into mine.

Without warning he leans forward gently kissing my shoulder the only thing he can reach.

"Take her away." Is all he says before I'm whisked away.

"Wait! What are you doing, get off of me!" My struggles are pointless against these two meat heads. They act like they can't hear me and as if I weigh absolutely nothing.

Further down the hallway I'm blindfolded which makes this walk seem longer than it probably was. After endless twists and turns the scarf is snatched from my face while I'm gently ushered into a room.

Room is an understatement really, this is like a house within a house.

"This is where you'll stay from now on." The man with the calm voice speaks. He's handsome in a homely sort of way. Everything about him is neat and well put together, like a butler but not quite. His eyes are a haunting green.

"I'm not staying here." I say defiantly.

"Miss uum? What is your name?"

"Tatiana."

"Beautiful name for a beautiful lady, You'll come to like it here. Even learn to love it as well as it's inhabitants."

With that he and his partner leave locking the door from the outside. Not like I would try to leave anyway; I've got no idea where I am.

I don't want to explore this house within a house. I don't even want to be here! Bursting into tears my tired feet trudge towards the bed. A massive bed with a gold chandelier hanging above it.

The comforter and pillows are ironically my only comfort as I cry myself to sleep.

Somtime during that night a door creaks open but it's not the main door. I'm too drained to figure out what door, who it is, their intentions. I don't care at this point.

The person comes to where I'm laying and with eyes shut tight still sobbing I wait for whatever is about to happen.

Nothing does and as fast as they've come, they're gone.

When I peek open an eye next to me is a note.
Unfolding the paper it reads:

'Welcome Love,
I'm Alessandro as you are already aware I'm sure. So very sorry our first meeting was such a frightful experience. I promise you that will never happen again.

In due time we will meet in the correct fashion, when I have better control of myself. Until then feel free to explore the grounds. It is an extraordinary home, I'm sure you will find everything to your liking.

Yours only, Alessandro

P.S. Do not try to escape, there are eyes everywhere.
