"Where is he!?" I scream running through the house like a mad woman.
Alessandro left me a note with his final goodbye; he didn't let me say goodbye. He just up and left.
"Luna please! He ordered us to keep you here. You can't leave." Dylan pleads.
"Fuck what he ordered right now! I demand to know where he's gone!?"
She looks at me taken back by my harsh tone. I feel bad for yelling at her but at the same time this is my mate we're talking about. I need him.
"He's coming back he went to get something for you. A surprise."
Just as she finishes explaining he walks through the front door. "Way to blow it Dylan." He says dryly.
Stomping over to him I slap his face hard leaving a hand print. "Why the fuck did you leave that note!?"
His eyes darken as he fights with himself to keep his wolf at bay. Quickly losing control he shifts standing over me.
Dylan scurries away yelling for help. Alessandro paws me making me fall flat on my back. Standing over me he growls snapping his teeth.
I trust him not to hurt me but that doesn't stop the frightened feeling creeping up my spine.
"I-I thought you were gone, that she took you from me. I got your note, and I was scared because I didn't get to say goodbye or that I need you and-" I freeze smacking my hand over my mouth.
Did I really just say that out loud? I just told him that I need him, and I meant it.
Oh gosh what is he going to say? I know he loves me but is it too late? Can me admitting it save him right now?
He shifts back staring into my eyes looking for doubt in my new revelation.
"You what?"
"I- uh I need you." I squeak.
His glare turns to a full smile as he leans down kissing me sweetly.
"I knew it. I am growing on you."
I roll my eyes pulling him back in for another kiss. I don't know why I waited so long to say that. I mean I do know but what if me saying it now isn't enough?
He could still die today.
"Don't worry princess, we'll figure something out. We're going to be okay." He murmurs trailing kisses up my face.
I'm not so sure.
She's really dragging this day out. Like she wants us to be on edge when she comes.
I was attached to Alessandro's side all day. Though I left him for a few seconds to apologize to Dylan for being a bitch earlier.
She's so nice; just shrugs it off like it was nothing. Tells me she would've been the same way.
I couldn't stop staring at him. I sat across from his desk just entranced as he worked.
"Tatiana." He smirks putting the pen down. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
I shrug,"I don't know."
Shaking his head he blows me a kiss going back to work.
Nathaniel hammers on the door before opening it. "She's here and guess who's with her." He seethes.
My stomach flips at the mention of Kassie and knowing she has someone with her intensifies that feeling.
We all rush out of the office to the front door to face her.
The last person we'd ever expect to be her lap dog stands proudly with her and her 'army'. Thomas.
"Thomas you son of a bitch." I lunge forward but Alessandro and Nathaniel block me. I huff shouting every curse word I could think of.
Wolves from our pack that I've seen patrolling the area bark and snap ready to attack. Just as pissed as I am.
All they need is their Alpha's word.
"Get that girl a muzzle." Kassie scoffs. Her men join her laughing. Who knew she actually had people working with her. I never saw that coming.
"I'm who you came here for Kassie so let's get this shit over with." Alessandro steps forward and Nathaniel does the same.
"Aren't you curious about Thomas here?"
"Not in the slightest." He shrugs.
Thomas sneers charging for Alessandro. Nathaniel jumps in the way and soon they're all fighting.
Kassie laughs focusing on me, "I didn't think this would be that easy."
Too quick for my mind to process a sharp pain spreads from my side. Warm blood pours down as I fall to my knees laying in the puddle.
I can't find my voice to yell for Alessandro. I struggle to keep my eyes open watching them fight in slow motion.
My eyes get heavier and breathing becomes harder. I never got to tell him. I can't die without telling him.
"Tatiana open your fucking eyes! Oh God don't do this to me, don't you dare leave me." His voice sounds so far away. There is pressure on my chest at a steady rhythm.
I cough up blood opening my eyes to see his tear filled ones. "I can fix this baby just stay with me a little longer." He pleads.
"I love you Alessandro. Always have always will." I whisper.
"Stop, this is not the end Tatiana. You're gonna be fine. I promise you will. I love you too much to give up on you just hang in there."
I shake my head crying,"I'm so tired."
My eyes close and everything falls silent for what feels like the last time.
