Ashi's POV

The truth echoed in my mind, refusing to settle. Vansh's confession had brought answers, but it also shattered what little clarity I had left. I spent the night tossing and turning, each thought pulling me further into an abyss of doubt and confusion.

The next morning, I avoided Vansh. I couldn't face him, not yet. I needed space, a moment to breathe, to think. The house buzzed with activity as usual, his family bustling around with their daily routines. Their warmth was both comforting and overwhelming.

It wasn't long before Sanya noticed my withdrawn demeanor. "Bhabhi, are you okay?" she asked, her brows furrowed in concern.

"I'm fine," I lied, forcing a smile. "Just tired."

She didn't look convinced but didn't push further. "If you need anything, you know where to find me."

Later That Day Vansh's mother called me to the kitchen to help with lunch. It was a welcome distraction, a chance to lose myself in the rhythm of chopping vegetables and stirring pots.

As we worked, she glanced at me thoughtfully. "Ashi, beta, you seem a bit off today. Is everything alright?"

"I'm fine, Ma," I said softly, keeping my eyes on the cutting board.

She placed a hand on my shoulder, her touch gentle. "You know, marriage is never easy. It's a journey with its ups and downs. But it's important to remember that you're not alone. We're all here for you."

Her words brought a lump to my throat, but I swallowed it down, nodding. "Thank you, Ma."

After dinner, Papa, Vansh's father called me to the study. It was rare for him to have serious conversations, so I was both curious and anxious.

"Ashi," he began, his tone calm yet firm, "I've noticed some tension between you and Vansh lately. I won't pry into your personal matters, but as someone who's been married for over three decades, let me offer a piece of advice."

I nodded, listening intently.

"Communication is the foundation of any relationship. Without it, misunderstandings can grow into walls that are hard to break down. Whatever you're going through, talk to each other. Be honest, even if it's difficult."

His words hit me harder than I expected. "Thank you, Papa," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

He smiled, his eyes kind. "You're part of this family now, Ashi. We're here to support you, no matter what."

Later that night, I found myself standing outside our room, my heart pounding. The weight of his confession still hung heavy, but so did his family's unwavering support. Their faith in our relationship made me question my own doubts.

Taking a deep breath, I entered the room to find Vansh seated on the bed, his expression unreadable. As I closed the door behind me, the tension was palpable.

"Can we talk?" he asked gently, standing as I walked further in.

I hesitated, but then nodded. "Yes, we should."

We both sat on the edge of the bed, the space between us feeling larger than ever. Vansh clasped his hands together, taking a deep breath.

"I've been thinking about what you said," I began, my gaze fixed on the floor. "About Zara, about everything."

He waited silently, giving me the space to speak.

"I don't know if I can forgive you yet," I admitted, my voice trembling slightly. "But I also don't want to carry this weight alone. If we're going to move forward, we need to do it together."

Vansh shifted closer, his eyes filled with hope and determination. "Ashi, I'll do whatever it takes to earn your trust again. I don't expect it to happen overnight, but I want to be honest, to build something real between us, even if it takes time."

His sincerity was undeniable, and for the first time in days, I felt a glimmer of hope. "We'll see," I said quietly. "But you need to understand—this won't be easy."

"I understand," he said, his voice resolute. "And I'm ready for it."

"We'll take it one step at a time," I said finally. "But this isn't going to be easy, Vansh."

"I don't want easy," he replied softly. "I just want us."

As we settled back into bed that night, the distance between us seemed to shrink ever so slightly. His presence beside me, though still unfamiliar in many ways, felt less suffocating. Maybe, just maybe, there was a chance for us to find our way through this storm together.
