~ I slowly opened my eyes to find myself laying in my bed. I awkwardly sat up and found Glenn sitting on the end of the bed. Suddenly everything that happened came back to me. "Whitney!" I yelled.
Before I could remove the covers Glenn lightly pushed me back down. "There's nothing to worry about Simone. She came back last night. You were so stressed that you opened your stitches from your surgery." He lightly massaged my head. "When you're strong enough I'll let her come in to see you. For now, rest." He kissed my forehead then left the room.
Like I'm gonna wait that long! Quietly I got up then walked to the door. I listened to see if Glenn had went downstairs and when I heard nothing I began my journey down the hall to Whitney's room. For some reason it felt like I was walking in place because the door stayed the same size. What in the hell is going on here?
Suddenly I heard Whitney's voice. "I understand losing the baby was terrible but it didn't only effect you." Her voice was coming from everywhere. What the hell? "I lost a child too!" I started to walk faster.
No matter how much I walked I didn't get closer to the door. "Did he tell you that? And you believed him?" I looked around but everything was black except the door. I opened my mouth to scream but nothing came out. What the hell?! "And you believed him."
I began to run toward the door. Whitney, wait! "I tried to kill myself." At that point I was running as fast as I could. I still couldn't get to that damn door! Whitney wait for me! "You're dead to me!" My heart stopped when I heard the gun shot. My feet wouldn't move but I was right in front of the door.
I wanted to open the door but I was afraid to. "Simone, I had to do it. I couldn't take it anymore." Her voice sounded like she was right in front of me. "I don't know what to do now." I could hear something fall over from the other side of the door.
I slowly opened the door. In the corner there was blood all over the wall. I looked down and saw a body. It wasn't Whitney's. "Simone, oh shit." Glenn ran into the room and rushed to Luke's body. "Baby, call 9-1-1." All I could do was stare at him. "Simone, call 9-1-1!" I covered my mouth and noticed something on the other side of the room.
I turned to it and screamed. "Whitney no!" I fell down to my knees and cried. Glenn ran to her and lowered her from the ceiling fan. He kept yelling for me to call 9-1-1 but I couldn't. I couldn't do anything but cry. ~
I shot up gasping for air. I was covered in sweat and my heart was racing. It took me a while to realize that I was alone in a hospital room. I slowly get out of the bed and walked toward the door. I opened it a little to find Glenn talking on the phone. His back was to me.
I watched as he massaged the back of his neck. "Whitney, she's in here because she was so stressed about you. The least you could do is come and see her." I wanted to run out and grab the phone but I controlled myself. "Well if you're not coming back can you at least tell me where you are so I can see you? I've kept one secret for you, I can keep another." I noticed his body tense up. "You know I hate keeping secrets from Simone." He sighed.
At least 30 seconds later Glenn was getting ready to punch the wall but stopped at the last second. "Whitney, just let me see you to make sure you're alright." I leaned against the wall and slid down into a sitting position. "Don't hang up on me. Whitney!" Glenn groaned before calming himself down and coming into the room. "Baby, you're not suppose to be out of bed."
Gracefully he picked me up and put me down on the bed. "You opened your stitches. Normally it wouldn't hurt enough to make you pass out but the doctor said some science stuff but you'll be alright if you take it easy for at least two weeks." I was listening but didn't respond. I got under the covers then rolled over on my side. He lightly rubbed my back. "Don't worry baby girl. She just needs some-."
I move myself away from his touch. "I thought that we didn't keep secrets from each other." I huff. There was silence then I turned to him. "I can't believe that you kept such a big secret from me. You've had plenty of times to tell me." To my surprise he started laughing.
He laughed while shaking his head. "Whitney's already pissing me off because she's fucking you up physically and now mentally. What did you want me to say Simone? How was I suppose to tell you?"
I really didn't have an answer. "How would you like me to tell you? 'Hey babe, while you were out with your team mates Whitney wasn't really sick. She thought we were leaving so she could pop pills like candy!'?" His hands were balled into fist. "And you don't keep secrets from me? Whitney is the only reason we have secrets in our damn house. You didn't tell me about the raping and abortions!"
I stared at him in shock. "What?" We both looked to the door. There stood a confused Luke. "What in the hell are you talking about? What is he talking about Simone?" He asked us both. I quickly looked at Glenn then back to Luke. Shit.
