On the Matthew Bonds' show was Malcolm West. He's pretty famous in California because he's the quarter back for the Lions; the same team Glenn is on, Glenn's a wide receiver for them. Malcolm's the most conceded asshole you'll ever meet. He always points out other people's flaws and talks about it all over town. I personally think he would do better being a hair stylist instead of a football player since he loves to gossip so much.

"OK, so Malcolm's on TV... What does that have to do with me?" I asked. Whitney didn't answer me; she just motioned me to sit down then crossed her legs in front of her like she was a little kid watching Saturday morning cartoons. Do I really have to listen to what this asshole has to say? I slowly sat down on the couch.

"Growing up, my father taught me how to be a man. It's impossible for men to be men if women want to take our roles. That is what encouraged me to write this book, 'Girls Don't Play Football'." Malcolm calmly stated. Glenn popped his head in through the living room entrance and stared at the TV just like Whitney and me.

We couldn't think of the right words to say so we just continued to watch. "Now the whole book is not about girls and sports, it's also about women taking our jobs. A construction worker, electronics, even being a doctor is becoming more difficult because women think they have to have those jobs. A lot of men would rather have a stay at home wife than a working wife. We want to come home to a clean house and a beautiful, well dressed, and non tired wife that we can relax with and go do fun things with. Am I asking for too much?" He asked.

Hell yeah you are! What in the hell is wrong with you? "It has worked in the past so why cant it work in the 21st century? Why must everything change?" I rolled my eyes at every dumb thing he said, so you can tell I did it a lot.

The camera zoomed in on the host of the Matthew Bonds' show, Matthew Bonds. His face matched Glenn's, Whitney's, and my face. "So, Mr. West, you're telling me that you want everything to go back in time? I don't know about other men but I love me an independent woman, don't you men?" He asked the audience and they all cheered. Glenn sat down beside me on the couch and put his arm over my shoulder.

Matthew waited till they were done to continue. "Do you really expect others to buy this book and see this situation in your point of view? What did you expect to accomplish with this book?" Matthew's face showed real concern but you could tell he was pissed.

"I want everyone to read it and understand where I'm coming from."

"What do you want after that Mr. West?"

"Call me Malcolm, I hope they will join me and spread the word."

"Like you're a prophet or something?"

"I wouldn't say prophet Matt. Can I call you-?"

"No."

"OK then, I just think that nothing is wrong with the past so don't cange anything."

"If it's not broken don't fix it?"

"See, you understand! Besides, it's us men that make women think they're indestructable."

"And how is that Mr. West?"

"I have one name for you, Simone Maze."

I stared at the TV. This means war. "Yes, Simone Maze, the wide receiver for the Pumas. Don't get me wrong she is great but that's just because of my team mate, Glenn Lay." Glenn looked down at me but I didn't return the glance.

"Without him she probably wouldn't even know what to do with a football! Behind every good woman is a great man and Ms. Maze knows that. If Glenn didn't teach her the sport and do all that encouraging crap then she wouldn't be an example." I heard my phone blowing up in the kitchen but I didn't go to answer it. I knew it was all of my friends telling me what Malcolm said about me or to turn on my TV.
