Sometimes you can't help but wonder, why are you so petty? It comes as naturally as it can be, worse than it can be. Your moments of random pettiness? Those people around you will have their worst day ever if they ever cross you, you can be quite crazy if you were in the mood for it.

Only to those who deserve it of course, you aren't that evil to ruin an innocent person's day for no reason at all.

And so, you're going to ruin Hezekiah's day because fuck him, he isn't innocent. He's the furthest from it.

Moving like a snail, you slowly placed your hand on his outstretched one's. You tried your best hiding your mischievous grin at the sight of his growing irritation. You know he couldn't speak nonsense to you for the reason that people are nearby and watching him. He'd have to act his part of his usual polite gentleman ways, which I tell you, not far from the usual way he treats you, albeit begrudgingly.

In fact, his genuine gentle ways are only reserved to the female lead.

And obviously you aren't her, so here you are being the receiver of his silent stink eye.

'Oh? You're glaring at me?' You mentally smirked before painstakingly slowing your movements more, excusing that it was because of your heavy dress that you're having trouble exiting.

"My apologies your grace, this heavy dress of mine insists that I take my actions slow lest I fall down the carriage." You said with an innocent smile, you laughed when you saw his meter went several levels down along with his lips that quite literally scowled. But still, he didn't withdraw the hand he outstretched for you to hold as support.

He didn't speak either way, just waiting for you to finally exit the carriage.

"Stop with your acts." He whispered the moment you assumed your position next to him like a lovely muse next to her escort. Contrary to the lovely display you both show to the public, this man next to you is trying his best not to shudder when you held his arm with your usual lovely smile that's meant to torment him.

"What act your excellency?" You asked him, happily walking beside him as you both climbed the stairs. You swore you heard him sigh, you almost giggled at the sheer exhaustion radiating from him. Though, your focus soon averted from him to your careful stairs of the wonderful palace the second prince own.

It was beautiful, far more beautiful compared to other places and manors you have ever seen in your whole life. It gave this enchanted look in it, towering white walls and several banners hanging and framing it's huge windows. Disney's introductory castle couldn't possibly compare.

You were so focused on the scenery and your steps that you didn't even notice Hezekiah reply to your obvious provocation. You were also oblivious to the stares you received from men and women alike, gaping at your beauty like you currently are at the sight of the palace.

And so silence enveloped both you and Hezekiah, it was quite uncharacteristic but he preferred it than you speaking nonsensical once again.

It lasted until you were now standing in front of the main venue.

The grand double doors of the ballroom swung open, revealing a sight that could steal anyone's breath, well yours since you weren't used to such sights.

The room was bathed in the warm glow of chandeliers, it's crystal ornaments refracting light like shards of a broken rainbow. You swore the gems alone would be enough for you to settle comfortably your whole life.

The polished marble floor were so pristine you swore you could see your reflection, and the gentle hum of music mixed with the murmurs of aristocrats. It was a display of prestige, power and wealth that only the second prince could muster.
