Daphne, pretending to be oblivious to the events of the previous night, accepted her fate. She knew that her father, a wealthy businessman, had arranged her marriage to Richard, the heir to a rival family. The union was a strategic move, a way to strengthen business ties and secure their families' futures.

Her father's untimely death had left her feeling alone and powerless. She had no choice but to comply with his wishes and marry Richard in future.

Daphne's world was shattered when Richard's family suddenly announced that they were cancelling the engagement. The reason for their decision was a shocking revelation: Daphne's mother had remarried, and her new husband was a less-than-ideal business partner. The Richard family, fearing financial loss, had decided to break off the engagement.

Daphne was devastated. She had believed that her love for Richard would be enough to overcome any obstacles. But now, she realized that her family's wealth and connections were more important to them than her happiness.
Heartbroken and humiliated, Daphne retreated into herself. She struggled to cope with the betrayal she felt, both from Richard's family and from her own mother. She had always been proud of her family's accomplishments, but now she realized that their wealth and status had come at a terrible cost.

As Daphne mourned the loss of her engagement, she began to reevaluate her life. She realized that she had spent so much time focusing on external validation, on the approval of others, that she had lost sight of what truly mattered. She decided that it was time to take control of her own destiny, to build a life that was based on her own values and passions.

With newfound determination, Daphne set out to rebuild her life. She focused on her career, using her intelligence and drive to achieve success. She surrounded herself with supportive friends  who helped her through this difficult time.
And though she would never forget the pain of her broken engagement, Daphne found strength in her resilience. She learned that true happiness comes from within, not from external validation. And in the end, she discovered that she was stronger than she ever thought she could be.

As Daphne continued to heal from the pain of her broken engagement, she discovered a newfound passion for writing. She had always enjoyed storytelling, but it was now that she realized the power of words to express herself and connect with others.
Daphne began to write novels, crafting intricate worlds and complex characters. She poured her heart and soul into her work, using her experiences to create stories that resonated with readers. Her writing became a form of therapy, a way to process her emotions and find meaning in her life.

As her novels gained popularity, Daphne began to establish herself as a talented author. She was invited to speak at literary events, and her books were translated into multiple languages. She was finally able to create her own identity, separate from her wealthy family and their expectations.

Through her writing, Daphne found a sense of purpose and fulfilment. She realized that true happiness was not about external validation or societal expectations. It was about finding meaning in one's own life, about discovering one's passions and pursuing them with unwavering determination.
And so, Daphne continued to write, her words a testament to her resilience, her strength, and her unwavering belief in the power of the human spirit.

PRESENTLY:

As Daphne sat by the window, lost in thought, she couldn't help but recall the events of her past. The broken engagement, the pain of losing Rafael, and the betrayal she felt from her own family. It was a heavy burden to bear, but she had learned to carry it with grace and resilience.

Daphne, her voice barely a whisper, muttered, "Please, God, don't let the past repeat itself. Help me find peace and happiness."

RAFAEL POV:

Rafael stood at the window, staring out at the bustling city. His mind was racing, filled with thoughts of Daphne, Ryback, and the complicated web of relationships that had entangled them.

He had tried to forget about Daphne, to move on with his life. But now, as he found himself falling for Ryback, the memory of Daphne resurfaced, bringing with it a sense of guilt and confusion.
"God, I thought I had forgotten about Daphne," Rafael muttered to himself. "Even though I'm involved with Ryback, I feel disgusted by the thought of being with her now just like the day I first met her after all these years at the book café.”

He paced back and forth, wrestling with his emotions. Should he continue with his relationship with Ryback, knowing that it would hurt Daphne’s work? Should he break up with Eve using Ryback?

RYBAK’S POV:

He took a hot shower, washing away the lingering stench of alcohol and the lingering guilt of his actions. As he dried off, he felt a sense of clarity, a resolve to make amends for his mistakes.
Sitting at his desk, Ryback opened his laptop and began to draft a letter. The words flowed easily, as if he had been planning this for weeks. He wrote a formal letter to the CEO of his publishing house, informing him of his decision to fire Daphne as a writer.

The decision was not easy, but Ryback knew it was the right thing to do. As he pressed the send button, Ryback felt a mix of relief and sadness. He was relieved to be rid of Daphne, but he was also saddened by the thought of her losing her job. He knew that this would be a difficult blow for her, but he believed that it was necessary.

Ryback closed his laptop and leaned back in his chair. He had made a difficult decision, but he was confident that it was the right one. And as he looked out at the city lights, he felt a sense of hope for the future.
