Chapter 11- Introductions

There were quiet mumbles as everyone went to find a spot for the meeting that was about to take place. Fletcher stood at the front of the room in front of the fireplace. All of the women fit on the couches. Esmeralda, Leena, and Lucy on the couch to the left of Fletcher. And Ann and Aspen on the other in the center of the room.

Jace, who was helping himself to the food in Fletcher's frig and making him a drink called out, "does anyone want anything to drink? This all feels like we should be drinking." The charismatic Alpha called out. Aspen couldn't help but giggle. She knew her brother in law was a good time.

Saul said "I'll take some scotch." He had a feeling this was going to be a rough night. Hell, it already was for him. Both his daughters have met their mates and they are of course a part of this evil colony.

Esmeralda got up. "I'll make our drinks." She pointed to Aspen "Something fruity and strong." She gave Aspen a smile "gotcha hunny. Jace, do you mind showing me where Alpha Crane keeps his alcohol?"

"Yes Ma'am." Jace replied "it's all in this pantry." He opened the door and there was a whole wall filled with alcohol. Apparently Alpha Crane liked to drink on his trips to Arizona.

Lucy mind linked Kristian, and he left to get their drinks. Jasper entered the kitchen next. He got scotch for him, his dad, and Mark. He came back quickly and handed his father his and Beta Mark their drinks, before returning to his spot behind Aspen on the center couch.

Esmeralda exited the pantry with 2 martinis. She handed them over to Leena and went back for Aspen's fruity surprise.

Ann and Charlie went next. Ann just grabbed a sprite from the frig and Charlie grabbed water. If their Alphas were drinking it meant they were not. Alpha Jace handed Alpha Noah a rum and coke and walked to behind the couch standing behind Ann. Standing behind one couch was Alphas Jace and Noah. Jasper was sandwiched between them. Behind the other couch was Charlie, Kristian, and Dominico. Esmeralda, Luna Leena, and Lucy sat on the couch. Alpha Saul Taylor had the big comfy armchair near the staircase and behind him was Mark.

"Is everyone settled in?" Alpha Crane asked. Everyone nodded in response. He heard a voice in his head.

"I'm not!" Marlowe mindlinked.

Alpha Crane turned his head to the stairs. There Marlowe was in his black robe. She slowly made her way down the stairs and sat next to Aspen. Feeling all of the eyes on her, she tried to appear as confident as possible. Aspen rested her head on Marlowe's shoulder and Jasper put his hand on her other shoulder. Fletcher watched them, carefully. The closest thing he had to siblings was Dominico and let's just say he isn't the affectionate type.

Marlowe looked up at her mate and said, "I'll take a rum and coke please." She smiled brightly. She tried to feel confident as she ordered her drink. And If he thought she was going to be left out of the first family meeting he had another thing coming.

Fletcher swiftly went into the kitchen, got the rum and coke and returned. Their eyes locked as he handed her the drink. It was like time stood still for the both of them. Everyone in the room eyed them. The banquet was eventful and everyone was dying to know what had transpired in the short time they were alone. Esmeralda and Leena beaming like they were watching a romance movie. Saul looked like he was going to blow a gasket and his Beta put his hand on his shoulder almost to restrain him.

Dominico cleared his throat and the two looked away from each other. Marlowe took the glass and took a sip. She looked over at her mom and godmother who were giving her the thumbs up like they were giddy school girls. "Alpha Crane, you were about to do introductions." said the very amused Dominico.
