12 days had passed since Marlowe and Fletcher had met. They talked every night and sent texts throughout the day. Marlowe felt like she was in love. Fletcher was sexy, kind, and funny. She didn't understand how he was her mate. Guys like him got paired with hot blonde models, not girls like her. She felt lucky.
Marlowe heard her phone buzz on her night stand. She rolled her in her bed. The clock said 8:34am. She picked up her phone and saw a text from Fletcher.
Fletcher:
Meet me at our spot today at 9?
Marlowe got butterflies in her stomach. She had been itching to see him. The phone calls were nice, but she needed to be near him again. And she wouldn't mind if he made her orgasm again. She text back.
Marlowe:
See you then.
Thankfully, Marlowe had a busy day to keep her mind off of tonight. She was nervous to meet him again. Marlowe pulled off the blankets and stood up.
"Whoa." She said, suddenly she was feeling light headed and had a slight headache. "Marlowe, pull yourself together." She said to herself. Then she marched into the bathroom, got some medicine and got dressed. Marlowe decided to wear something nice today because she wouldn't have the time to change before her date. Marlowe put on a plain black dress. Her black converse because she couldn't wear heels through the woods later. She wore her hair completely down. Her silver ends of her hair spilling over her shoulders. She did her make up, put on a silver moon necklace, and headed out the door to her first meeting of the day.
First, was the merger meeting. Her mom, dad, Esmeralda, the twins, her dad's beta Mark, and a few other advisers were there. When she entered the room all the men's heads snapped to her it seemed like. Mark got up from his seat and walked over to her. Mark took her hand and kissed it. She chuckled nervously. He'd never done that before. "You seem different Marlowe, new perfume?" Mark beamed at her.
"No, just the same ole me." She said, taking her hand back awkwardly. Okay. The men were definitely staring and they seemed jealous. Must be the dress she thought. She took her seat at the front of the room next to her father. Her mom and dad, already sitting in their throne like chairs, smiled at her. They looked like royalty. Her father was a husky black man in his fifties. Saul's beard and hair were starting to gray. Her mother Leena looked like a true queen with her jet black hair, caramel skin, and bright welcoming eyes. Leena was Native American just like Emse. Though the hail from different nations.
Marlowe walked up the podium steps and sat in her seat to the right of her father. She looked out to everyone else in the counsel chamber. There were two rows of long tables. Everyone was seated randomly, as it was first come, first serve for seating.
"Okay, now that everyone is here. Let's begin." Her father said. "We'll start with a vote, then discussion. No decisions need to be made until next Friday. So let's vote and discuss."
Marlowe took over. "All those in favor of becoming a part of the Crescent Moon Colony raise your hands." Marlowe raised her hand. She felt her father's gaze on her, but she ignored it. Marlowe scanned the room and counted. Aspen, her mom, Esmeralda, and 3 other advisors raised their hands. "7." Marlow said. "And those against?" Her dad, Jasper, Mark, and 2 advisors raised their hands. "5." She said with a smirk on her face. "As of right now the decision is to join the crescent moon pack. We will now open the floor to any that would like to speak." She said and looked around the room.
Jasper stood up. "We all know that Aspen and I can sense a person's intentions. And can tell when someone is being truthful. I will keep my vote as a no until Aspen and I meet him personally." Jasper sat back down and advisers nodded approvingly.
