The First Encounter(3)

"Today's the day. The day in which I shall finally be productive!" TonTon announced.

He was speaking to himself in the mirror before he decided to leave his house. He wandered the streets of Nemo City in search of something to do. He later found himself in the City Hall. He walked up the fancy stairs into a corridor with three room. The first was the record room, the second the janitor room, and the third the office of Mayor Nemo. TonTon stepped in and greeted the old fish.

"Good afternoon Mayor Nemo. I've been in search of some work to do for the greater good of Nemo City." TonTon explained.

"Hmm. It is always good to have you around guarding the city, but I'll make an exception this time for a job I suppose. The bulletin board at the city center should fulfill all of your needs." Mayor Nemo said.

By the time the Mayor had turned around in his swivel chair, TonTon was already gone. The old fish seemed supremely confused.

"W-was he gone since I started talking?" He asked himself.

There TonTon found himself upon the bulletin board with the same choices as before. He scanned down the list and came up with a final conclusion.

"All of this stuff is mostly boring except defeating cannibals and taking over the world which I guess I can do both at once." He thought. He paused for a moment to think it over and then continued on his way to leave the city. He began his search in the outskirts of town. It was a mostly grassy area with few trees. Suddenly, he smelt something. It was a foul odor protruding from atop a tree.

"AUGH, what is that terrible smell?" TonTon said with a cringe as he looked up to see a woman eating a piece of flesh. She had brown hair and brown eyes, wore jeans, black shoes, and a green shirt.

"Excuse me miss, but are you a cannibal?" TonTon asked.

"Well, ye-" The woman began but was shortly cut off.

"Then prepare thyself for purification, cannibal." TonTon said, getting ready for battle.

"The names Ninja, and there is nothing pure." She said.

TonTon disregarded her words and was already preparing his ego for attack. Likewise, Ninja took a fighting stance. In a blink of an eye, TonTon was already upon her and appeared to be trying to karate chop her head.

"Direct Noggin Carrot Chop!" He yelled as he slammed his hand towards her head.

She quickly dogged and rolled out of the way. TonTon's hand created a huge crater in the earth and humongous dust clouds were forming. Ninja was able to make her way through the clouds, but TonTon was left practically blinded. Ninja used this to her advantage and ran up close to TonTon. She gathered her strength for a super strong punch but as she swung TonTon shouted "EGO" and a gold force field appeared that absorbed the punch. TonTon cleverly thought of a counterattack and immediately pushed his force field forward. Within moments, Ninja was flat on the ground with arms up trying to at least slow the crushing. However, it stopped abruptly.

"Cannibal, I spare you today in hopes that you will find an alternative diet." TonTon exclaimed.

"W-what?" Ninja said confused.

"You heard me. Go find some other food you like. As long as it isn't Nemos or people, I'm fine." TonTon said.

Ninja was completely confused about how she wasn't dead at the moment, but she was very appreciative of how kind her opponent was.

"T-thank you." She said before going on her way.

"Purification isn't eradication." TonTon said to himself.

The sun began to fall and Ninja was out looking for a new type of food. She liked meat so animals were a nice source, but she wasn't real good at animal farming. Suddenly a zombie came up behind her and she quickly turned and cut him to bits. Now curious, she tried a piece of the rotten flesh. And from that moment forward, she found her alternative.

TonTon walked back into his mansion and opened his bedroom door. He changed into his carrot pajamas and turned on his night light. He then fell onto his bed and pulled his blanket over him.

"Well, that's one down." He chuckled before he fell asleep. But deep in his sleep, he felt like he forgot something.
