His eyes like clouds with bits of white fog inside a blue transparent glow.

The fingers of strength gripping the pencil with a gentle deliberate posture of confidence.

The fog lifts and the blue landscape appears in the blackness that was there a moment ago.

The woman appears all alone in the room with stinging, salty tears streaming down both cheeks.

He turns the pencil over erasing her tears.

The woman opens her door and her neighbor walks in giving her a big hug,

within minutes there are new tears of laughter.

The man did not notice the robber come up behind him,

quickly he drew the stray dog that had lived on the block for 2 years,

all alone living off scraps from trashcans.

He had been waiting for this special moment to draw stray into this picture.

Now he sees the repair is good,

the dog no longer called stray but instead called Pat,

nickname for Patron, another word for Savior.

The machine that man has made to move faster than legs sits in a rubble on the side of the road,

the young boy is rushed to the hospital with much blood lost,

he draws the homeless woman into the hospital,

Just at the moment the doctor asked is there anyone here with type AB positive blood?

Her cold fingers numb due to the record low temperatures without a hesitation she raises a hand,

he watches as the boy regains energy before he turns the page.

He wonders sometimes when he feels the praise or the anger,

for what has been fixed or for what is still broken,

If they know he just drew them in what they decide to do is what was done,

he is just the creator, the artist,

only the freewill of a loving heart can repair.
