"The gloomy weather outside seemed to seep into the hospital's corridors. 'I'm not a fan of this weather,' Nandini said, sipping her coffee. 'It's so ominous.' Ishita nodded in agreement. 'I know what you mean. It feels like something's brewing.' Raman, passing by, chimed in, 'Maybe it's just the cyclone warning. Hopefully, it'll pass us by.' Yash, checking his phone, added, 'I've got a bad feeling about today, though.' Arvind, walking into the conversation, cautioned, 'Let's not jinx it, guys. We all know the rule: no talking about...you know.' Dev, raising an eyebrow, whispered, 'You mean the "Q" word?' Arvind nodded sternly. 'Yes, that one. Let's just focus on being prepared.'

Just then, the hospital's emergency alert system beeped, signaling an incoming emergency. The team's eyes turned to the TV screen, where a breaking news report was unfolding. '...multiple vehicle accidents on the highway, with reports of serious injuries and fatalities,' the news anchor announced. The room fell silent.

Manik nodded grimly. 'Let's get ready, everyone. We'll need all hands on deck.' Ayush asked, 'What's the nature of the injuries?' The team began to discuss and prepare for the incoming patients.

Yash, his voice firm and commanding, called out, "Everyone, let's gather around! We have a situation in our hands." Raman stepped forward, his expression serious. "We've got multiple casualties coming in from a massive accident on the highway. We'll need all hands on deck to manage the influx of patients."

Yash nodded in agreement. "We'll need to prioritize and mobilize our teams. Let's postpone all non-emergency surgeries for now and focus on triaging the incoming patients." He turned to the team. "We'll need everyone's help to manage the caseload. Manik, can you lead the trauma team?"

Manik nodded. "Already on it. I'll get the team prepped for the worst-case scenarios."

Ayush spoke up, "I'll get the gastrointestinal team ready. What's the estimated number of patients we're expecting?"

Raman checked his phone. "The last update said around two dozen, but that number could rise. We need to be prepared for anything."

Ishita asked, "Do we have any information on the nature of the injuries?"

Yash replied, "Not yet, but we'll know more once the patients start arriving. Let's get our teams in place and be ready to adapt."

Arvind, the neurologist, spoke up, "I'll get the neuro team on standby. We may need to perform emergency surgeries."

Dev, the anesthesiologist, nodded. "I'll get the anesthesia team ready. We'll need to move fast."

The team continued to discuss and prepare, their voices filled with a sense of urgency and focus.

As the team continued to prepare, Dr. Sonakshi, the MD in Medicine, approached Yash. "I'll get the medical team ready to assist with triage and stabilization."

Dr. Aarti, the oncologist, spoke up, "I'll help with prioritizing patients and allocating resources."

Dr. Navya, the cardiologist, nodded. "I'll get the cardiac team on standby in case we need to perform emergency cardiac procedures."

Dr. Alia, the plastic surgeon, said, "I'll be ready to assist with any reconstructive surgeries."

Dr. Dhruv, the pediatrician, asked, "Are there any pediatric patients involved in the accident?"

Raman replied, "We're not sure yet, but we'll need to be prepared for all possibilities."

Just then, Asha, the head nurse of the ED department, walked in. With over 20 years of experience, including time spent in the US, Asha was known for her exceptional leadership skills and calm demeanor under pressure.
