Manik examined the patient in the ICU, having already informed Yash that she had regained consciousness and was ready to provide a statement. Yash was discussing the case with the inspector, who had arrived after receiving the hospital's notification.

Nandini arrived at the ED and headed to the ICU to check on the patient. She found Manik already attending to the patient and approached him.

"Good morning, Dr. Manik," Nandini said.

Manik turned to face her. "Good morning, Nandini. The patient is stable and ready to give a statement to the police."

Nandini nodded. "That's great news. I'm assigned to assist you today, Dr. Manik."

Manik smiled. "Actually, Nandini, you'll be assisting me for the entire week, as per Dr. Yash's instructions."

Just then, Yash and the inspector entered the room with the patient's husband.

"Manik, can we proceed with the statement?" Yash asked.

Manik nodded. "Yes, Sir. Nandini, can you help Ananya sit up and get comfortable?"

Nandini assisted Ananya in sitting up, and the police officer began questioning her.

"Ananya, can you describe what happened during the accident?" the officer asked.

Ananya recounted the events, her eyes welling up with tears. "I don't remember much, but I think something fell on my windshield, causing me to lose control."

The officer nodded sympathetically. "We believe a pedestrian may have jumped onto your car. Thank you for your cooperation, Ananya."

After the officer left, Yash confirmed Nandini's assignment with Manik. "Nandini, you'll be assisting Manik for the week. Learn as much as you can from him."

Nandini smiled, feeling grateful. "Thank you, Dr. Yash. I'm excited to learn from Dr. Manik."

Manik smiled, looking forward to working with Nandini. "It's not going to be an easy job, Nandini. But I'm sure you'll handle it well."

Outside the ICU, Yash discussed the case with the inspector, who explained that they couldn't file a case against the pedestrian due to lack of evidence.

Yash nodded understandingly. "I just wanted to help him, but I suppose it's another dead end."

The inspector offered words of encouragement. "You've done everything you can, Dr. Yash. Now, leave it to fate; sometimes, that's the only hope we have."

Inside the ICU,

Ananya asked Manik, "Doctor, can I ask you something?"

Manik turned to her. "Of course, Ananya. What's on your mind?"

Ananya's voice trembled. "Tarun might have told you we're newlyweds, right?"

Manik nodded. "Yes, he mentioned it."

Ananya's eyes widened with concern. "Because of this accident, will I have problems conceiving?"

Manik's expression turned empathetic. "We'll need to run some tests, Ananya. Once you've recovered, you can consult a gynecologist. They'll be able to assess any potential fertility issues."

Ananya's anxiety grew. "Can I see a gynecologist now?"

Tarun intervened, trying to calm her down. "Ananya, focus on your recovery first. We can discuss this later."
