Manik was in the ICU checking the patient. He had already informed Yash that the patient had regained consciousness and was ready to give her statement.

Yash was discussing with the inspector who came there after receiving the information from the hospital.

Nandini reached the hospital's ED and went ahead to the ICU to check on the patient. Nandini saw Manik already checking the patient, so she went near him.

"Good morning, Dr. Manik," Nandini said.

Manik craned his neck to catch a glimpse of her face. "Good morning, Nandini," Manik said.

"How is the patient doing now?" Nandini asked.

"She is fine and resting, ready to give a statement to the police," Manik said.

"That's good. So today, I am going to assist you, Dr. Manik," Nandini said.

"I don't know about that, Nandini. Dr. Yash will tell you whom you are going to assist today," Manik said.

"Until then, you can assist me in the ED," Manik said.

The police officer and Dr. Yash came to the room with her husband.

"Manik, can we talk to her now?" Dr. Yash asked.

"Yes, Sir. Dr. Nandini, can you wake her up for me?" Manik said.

"Ananya, can you wake up for me?" Nandini said to the patient.

Ananya opened her eyes and looked at everyone, but her eyes fixed on one person in the room. She started looking at the person, tears in her eyes.

"Ananya, if you don't mind, we can ask some questions about the accident," the police officer said.

"Yes, you can," Ananya said.

"How are you feeling now?" he asked her.

"I'm feeling better now," Ananya said.

"Okay, how did this accident happen? Did you see anyone jumping from the overpass?" he asked.

"I don't know how it happened. All of a sudden, something fell on my car windshield, and the glass scattered. I couldn't control myself and hit the divider. After that, I don't remember anything," Ananya said.

"Actually, we are thinking a kid jumped from the overpass and landed on your windshield. Thank you for your cooperation, and now you can rest," the officer said.

"No problem, the officer," Ananya said, and the officer left the ICU.

"Nandini, this whole week you are going to assist Manik," Yash said.

"Okay, Dr. Yash," Nandini said as Dr. Yash left the ICU.

Manik was the happiest person to know that Nandini would assist him for the week; he could get to know her better now.

"Dr. Manik, did you hear what Dr. Yash said? I am going to assist you the entire week. I am happy to learn a lot of things from you," Nandini said, feeling grateful.

"I heard Nandini is assisting me. It's not going to be an easy job, so better gear up yourself," Manik said.

"Oh, I am ready for everything that comes my way," Nandini said.

Outside of the ICU,

"Sorry, Dr. Yash, we can't file a case on the boy now. We have to let him go," the inspector said.
