As the others bickered and teased in the living room, Namjoon watched Jungkook silently from across the room. Jungkook, sitting by the window with his coffee in hand, looked like he was in his own world, lost in thought. His eyes flickered over to me occasionally, but his mind was clearly elsewhere.

"Jungkook," Namjoon's voice was steady, but there was an edge of concern in it, cutting through the noise of the room.

He gestured toward the balcony.

"Help me grab something from Eva's balcony?"

Jungkook frowned, clearly confused but, as usual, willing to follow Namjoon's lead. He set his coffee down and followed him outside, the morning air cool as the door shut behind them.

The moment the door clicked shut, Namjoon crossed his arms and turned to Jungkook, his eyes narrowing slightly with the weight of something unspoken.

"You know I'm not asking you to grab something from the balcony, right?"

Jungkook blinked, a little caught off guard.

"What do you mean?"

Namjoon let out a quiet sigh, his gaze never leaving Jungkook. There was a weight in his eyes—a mix of concern, understanding, and that familiar, older-brother protectiveness.

"I've been watching you all morning. Something's going on. And I'm not blind, Jungkook. Not with you and Eva."

Jungkook stiffened, his eyes dropping to the ground as he tried to figure out how to answer.

"There's nothing going on," he muttered, running a hand through his hair.

Namjoon's expression didn't change. His tone was still steady, but there was a subtle authority to it now.

"Come on, don't lie to me. You know I can see right through that."

Jungkook's jaw tightened, and he looked away, the weight of Namjoon's gaze pulling at him like gravity.

"It's complicated," he said quietly, his words hesitant but raw.

Namjoon let the silence hang between them for a moment before responding, his voice low, but firm.

"You like her, don't you?"

Jungkook's shoulders slumped, a frustrated sigh escaping him. He clenched his fists, eyes briefly flicking to the sky.

"I do. I really do," he admitted. His voice cracked slightly.

"But... I don't know how to deal with it, hyung. I don't want to mess things up with her. And I'm not sure I can trust myself."

Namjoon's eyes softened, the leader's instinct kicking in, but so did the brotherly understanding. He stepped closer to Jungkook, placing a hand on his shoulder, a silent gesture of support.

"You don't have to figure it all out right now, Jungkook. But don't hide from it either. Whatever's between you two—whatever happens—don't let fear dictate how you handle it."

Jungkook ran a hand through his hair again, his chest tightening. He let out a slow breath, eyes scanning the horizon before turning to Namjoon.

"I... I almost crossed the line last night. We almost slept together."

Namjoon's gaze sharpened, but he didn't say anything, letting Jungkook continue.

"I wanted it," Jungkook continued, his voice barely above a whisper, his eyes dark with the weight of it.

"I wanted it so bad, hyung. But... it's different with her. I don't just feel the heat. There's something else. Something... real. I've never felt this way before."
