"A battle of patience and pride, but the regal Rani-sa, struggles to keep her composure as Mianshi pushes all the wrong buttons!"

˚ ༘♡ 🪷🪕🪞🦢⋆。˚ ❀I stood in front of the mirror, surrounded by female workers. One was helping me adjust my dupatta, another was arranging my ornaments, while the third worked tirelessly on my hair, steaming it to perfection. But my mind was far from these preparations; my thoughts were consumed by Mianshi and her childish behavior.
I had asked Adhiraj to scold her, to put her in her place, but he merely shrugged and said,"Ignore her. Tomorrow, we'll deal with it. Don't create any scenes today, Siya. It's Baba-sa's birthday and the biggest fair in Raipur. No mistakes today. I'm busy."
Busy? Hmmm!
But Mianshi? She didn't care. She was still poking at me, still crossing boundaries as if I were a pushover. I had told her countless times not to invade my family's privacy, not to take liberties with my space. Yet, here she was, looking at me with those infuriating challenging eyes and that smirk that had completely ruined my mood.
I could easily make her beg for mercy at the company she worked for. If I wanted to, I could make her life hell. But I wasn't going to stoop to those petty stunts. No, I'd make her regret everything, right on her face.
She thought she could challenge me like that, waltz closer to Adhiraj while I stayed quiet? Not a chance.
But I couldn't tell Adhiraj. He was already under so much pressure with Baba-sa's birthday and the fair. If I mentioned this, he'd be furious. Not directly, of course, he'd never raise his voice like that....but I could already picture the disappointment in his eyes. He'd expect me to behave like Rani-sa, not rant over small things.
So I kept everything inside, bottled up, managing my frustration as best I could. I was a queen. I had to act like one.
It was evening by the time I finally got ready. Adhiraj and I hadn't had a moment of peace to talk all day. He'd been occupied with the preparations. I was now ready, dressed in a regal red Sabyasachi ghagra set. The blouse reached my elbows, adorned with intricate ornaments, heavy earrings, and the same anklets from Adhiraj, make-up touch up. My arms were embellished with family heirloom bangles, adding a touch of elegance to my look.
As I looked at my reflection, I allowed myself a small smile. This was a function, and it was Baba-sa's birthday. I had to behave, to keep my composure.
