"Unexpected guest!"

˚ ༘♡ 🪷🪕🪞🦢⋆。˚ ❀A new morning dawned over the Mahal, casting a soft, golden glow over its grand domes and sprawling courtyards. The air was fragrant with fresh marigolds and roses, and the gentle hum of preparations echoed through the halls.
I stood at the jharokha for a moment, the view filling my heart with a sense of pride and excitement. Today was a special day; my devar-sa, Rithvik, and my would be devrani-sa, Ishita, were stepping into a beautiful chapter of their lives, and I was determined to make this wedding as grand as their love story.
The palace was abuzz with activity. Baba-sa was overseeing the logistics with his usual calm authority, while Dadi-sa was busy ensuring every ritual was followed to perfection. Maa-sa, on the other hand, was practically breathless, juggling tasks and worrying about the tiniest details.
"Bahu-sa, don't forget the turmeric paste for the haldi. It has to be fresh and fragrant!" Maa-sa called out, her voice tinged with worry.
"I've got it covered, Maa-sa. Don't take unnecessary tensions. It will impact your health," I reassured her, earning a gentle smile from her, though the weight of responsibilities was starting to settle on my shoulders. Thankfully, Jeevika and Jiya were by my side, sticking to me like glue, helping me manage everything from décor to hospitality.
As I walked through the courtyard, my eyes caught sight of Rehan's truck pulling into the palace gates, loaded with flowers. My heart swelled with pride for my shop and the hard work that had gone into this moment.
"Siya, this batch of orchids, roses and lilies are the best I've seen yet!" Rehan declared as he hopped down from the truck, a broad grin on his face.
"Thank you, Rehan. Make sure everything is perfect. Today is not just any day...it's their day,"I replied, a hint of emotion in my voice. I was deep in the middle of arranging the orchid garlands when a kaka came to say something to me.
"Rani-sa, hukum-sa is asking for your presence," he called. The entire group of women I was working with turned to me, some smirking knowingly.
"Rani-sa, hukum-sa is calling you," Jiya teased, whereas Jeevika went to her family since her father and mother bordered here.
"Keep working. I'll be back," I said, trying to mask my blush as I walked away.
Upstairs, I found Adhiraj standing by the mirror in our chamber, already dressed and looking utterly regal. His plain yellow kurta, sleeves rolled just below his elbows, paired with an intricately embroidered half-coat, made him look nothing short of breathtaking. His signature watch sat snugly on his wrist. But it wasn't his attire that caught my attention, it was his smirk as he caught my reflection in the mirror.
"You're still in a pink cotton saree," he asked, turning toward me, earning a glare from me.
"Some of us are busy making sure family doesn't fall apart today," He chuckled and turned around, holding a small pin-clad brooch in his hand.
